We have been using Ooma for about 3-4 years now and am extremely satisfied with it. Recently we had a lightening hit our house and our Ooma with other devices were damaged. Without hesitation I bought another one. The quality of the sound is so clear and loud and it comes with all the options that you want like call waiting, caller ID voice mail, etc.. And best of all it costs so low to maintain. Our phone bill has been about $4 a month (which is for taxes) so practically we pay nothing for phone service. You just buy the device and after a few months you get your money paid for if you cancel your high prices phone service. Device is quality built and they have great Customer service. Highly recommend it.

The Ooma is a great device to have. I previously used another phone device but I like the Ooma much better. I was able to connect my fax machine and send a fax and use it for phone service as well. The other phone service device could not send faxes. I purchased the Ooma linx device also but haven't uses it yet. I plan to use it to keep my fax connected at all times. I have recommended it to a relative. Also it is cheaper and more reliable than the cable service phone system.

We've used OOMA for VOIP phone service for several years and have been very satisfied with reliability and quality of voice when using. Our original unit failed after several years of use, so we replaced it with a new unit and OOMA switched our # over to the new unit within a few minutes of contacting them.

I love the Ooma. The clarity of the sound is incredible. The cost is minimal except for the initial outlay for the router, of course, and even that is quite reasonable. It was very easy to set up and we were able to transfer our existing phone number to the Ooma so we did not have to have checks reprinted, for example.

It works pretty good. I bought this as a replacement Ooma for my mom. Overall, it's decent. Make calls, receive calls. One big issue my mom says is that it will drop calls sometimes. I think for the amount you pay on the monthly bill it's for the most part worth it. I also have the Ooma wireless version. It's a backup phone and it drops calls at times..but again for the price I pay for the monthly bill it's OK.

I am very glad we moved our phone over to Ooma. Where we live, you don’t have many options and we had been using a cell phone line for our home line. That just seemed to get more and more expensive. And because of bad cell service, our old phone didn’t even ring half the time. After stumbling on VOIP as an option (even with satellite internet) , I found that I liked the idea of Ooma. Just pay for the device and get basic service for free (except taxes of $6 which you pay on any phone service). Buying through Best Buy saved me money from buying direct with Ooma, which I found odd, but it was still super easy! Activation was very fast, and as others have reported, line porting only took 1 week (they say up to 3-4 weeks). Instructions were super clear and it honestly just took a few minutes to get up and running. The phone works like it should. Plugged right up to our wireless phone system through the house. Calls come in and go out and sound like a phone should… for FAR less than the cost of other options. Best purchase I have made in a while!

This product is very user friendly. It's taken over $30.00 off my monthly phone bill and I now have long distance. I was able to keep my old phone number + put a block on all calls not pertaining to me. Voices are clear and easy to understand.

My wife insists on keeping a home phone and the Ooma Telo is a great option. With a monthly bill of $3.24 versus the $40 I was spending with the cable company, I was sold. Service has been very good, no static, folks at the other end can hear us with good clarity. Porting my old number took only 5 days, and I had a temporary number during that time. I had a few difficulties connecting the system to my internet, but my configuration was on the instruction sheet (just needed to read the back side of the page). The initial outlay for the service, with purchasing the unit and porting my number was approximately $120, but the payback is a little over 3 months, well worth it. We don't make international calls, and don't feel the need to spend the extra $10 a month for that service. Overall, very satisfied at this time.

I have had an OOMA IP Phone for seven months now. It is better voice quality than either COMCAST/XFINITY or AT&T. It works with my FAX Modem to send FAXES too, For a nominal fee they ported my old phone number too.

We have been with Ooma for six years now without a problem. I decided to upgrade to the second generation of the Telo and it works, no muss, no fuss. Also I bought a Linx to get a second line and it connected to the Telo and works fine. Ooma is the best telephone system and the price is right.

The Ooma Telo was easy to set up, porting was quick and the call quality is great. Former Vonage user looking for same call quality but lower bill- this worked perfectly. The upfront cost was higher than some but now I only pay a few dollars for federal taxes and the basic service is free.

We have had our landline phone for 60 years, and when the telephone company stopped service we transferred the number to a cellphone line, but it was not the same. With Ooma, all telephone calls come in and ring all the telephones in the house. It is like the telephone company service, but better because calls are also forwarded to a cellphone and there are many other free or low-cost services available. Ooma was so easy to set up, If you have Internet service in your home, I would highly recommend it as a replacement for landline service.

I haven't had a home phone in years because I'm not willing to pay what all of the major carriers want to charge. Ooma has been great! (Note: I'm reviewing based on the Premium features, which cost $10 per month.) The call-block features are GREAT! I can let Ooma figure out what calls to block, or I can fully customize it. You can even go so far as to block everyone except for those you tell it to explicitly allow. The service allows you to be on 2 calls at once (you need at least one actual Ooma phone for this), so you won't have to kick off one of your kids in order to place a call. The setup was easy, and the calls are clear. The online account interface is a breeze. I definitely recommend this!

11/2020 I switched to Verizon FIOS and like many others I cut the cord from Optimum services and took my land line to Ooma. It's called porting your number in order to keep the number you current have. So happy I did. Simply works better too. You can install an app on your iphone or Android cell phone to make, receive, and get voice messages directly from your ported number or simply use the box to connect you personal phone at home. Just realized you will have a one time charge to have your current phone number switched over which is called ported. After that the cost for me per month is 5 bucks and change for taxes and fees for NJ. Best deal ever ;)

It took me many years to switch from the landline to VoP. I don't know why I waited so long. The rising Qwest landline phone bill was the catalyst particularly since I rarely used a landline. I seemed to only be paying to receive annoying calls from telemarketers, robocalls, etc. The Ooma is slightly complicated to set up but a dream once it is connected. I am able to block all of those annoying calls now. This is especially advantageous in anticipation of this election year. I did read every review everywhere regarding the "best" VoP service. Ooma seems to be the most reasonable in monthly cost (I pay only the fed/state/municipal) taxes. I am able to use all of my Panasonic telephone units with this system.
