Easy to get started. Had a little trouble getting the first pizza in but that was my issue with the dough. Ended up tasting great. Second one worked as supposed to! Can’t wait until next pizza night!!!

Wonderful little pizza oven with great versatility. Heats up quickly with the pellets and cooks super fast! We have made pizzas and chicken wings, and love that it is portable and does not require propane or electricity!

We have enjoyed using this for afternoon fun where kids can make their own pizza. There are some techniques to figure out, but with some practice this has turned out some delicious pizza for everyone.

Expect some learning curve with the use of this product. It takes patience to get the hang of it. We’ve so far only tried 3. I would say the pizzas were still far from perfect, but we could see the potential. (Presentation wise it wasnt good, but it tasted really good.) The only warning I would give to users is the sharp edges at the bag of the legs. Husband got a deep cut on his thumb while cleaning up. Not sure if all products are like that or if we got a defective one. Nevertheless, be careful when handling the legs. (No warning in the manual.) We reported this incident to Ooni, including other feedback we have on their product based on personal experience, and I would highly recommend their customer service. They sincerely responded and followed up with us. They made every effort to understand our concern and even provided tips. They also graciously offered to replace the product for free. I would give this product 2/5 for first time use, but given the potential (once the learning curve has levelled) and the great customer service, I’m giving it a 4/5.

My first job as a teen was rolling out dough for a Neopolitan style pizza restaurant, and I deeply missed the delicious pizza! I finally pulled the trigger on this one because of the price point and the fact it uses wood pellets for that extra flavor. I will say, there is a learning curve, even if you are savvy with the art of pizza making. To keep this review from turning into a wall of text, I will leave it at that I recommend watching some YouTube videos. Now, for what I don't like. There is no doubting these units have a premium price tag, and for that price, I would expect it to come with everything to get started. You do not get any fire starting materials, not even a trial of their brand. I feel like that is a missed revenue opportunity for Ooni... Anyway, for a successful start, plan on buying pellets (I used a competition blend I use in my smoker), a small hand torch to light the pellets, a pizza peel, and an infrared thermometer. You will also need a surface to put the oven on with plenty of space around it as it gets HOT. My second complaint is the oven door has a super tiny hole which makes it kinda difficult to monitor the progress. They have other ovens with clear doors, not sure why this one didn't get it or the option to buy it separately. Overall, I do enjoy the oven and can look past the couple mentioned issues. The oven is fantastic, and can make so much more than pizza! Currently going through an Ooni cookbook I got for Christmas and the options are amazing! The oven is easy to use, and makes amazing pizza. Just be sure to pay attention to what you’re cooking, it is super easy to burn the pizza if you aren’t on top of it.

This pizza oven is perfect. Pizzas come out perfect in 2 minutes and the oven only takes about 10 minutes to get up to 750f. I've gotten it as high as 1100f too. We rarely order out pizza anymore. The hardest thing about making pizzas in here is the launch. It will take a few pizzas before you master it.

Absolutely worth the sale price if you are looking for a wood fire pizza oven. One key tip I learned online is to keep a little USB fan behind the burner to help push the flame along the top of the oven. Fire is very manageable if you keep adding pellets one cup at a time. I never fill the chute like the directions say because it would tend to put the fire out. You may want to look at the gas options if you don’t like dealing with smoke, but I think it adds a little more flavor.

This little pizza oven is so awesome! I’ve only used it a few times, but so far we love it. It’s super easy to use, and makes great wood fire pizzas.

Ooni makes great quality ovens. We have a Karu 12 as well and both units get super hot and produce great pizzas.

This small metal piece does very strong thing in my family. 3 trials required for me to learn how to fire. Just follow the instruction with patience then, you will learn quicker than me. Once you learn it, the only thing left is to enjoy delight pizza time with family and friends. I highly recommend to anyone who wants to have a good memory with people.
