I recently purchased the Ooni Halo Pro Spiral Mixer and have been testing it for several weeks. While the unit looks solid and well-built, my overall experience has been mixed. Pros: The mixer itself has a sleek, professional look and feels sturdy, a nice addition to my kitchen. Mixed well and built excellent gluten in 10-12 minutes in the right volume and hydration. However, it has Cons: The performance with smaller batches is disappointing. The dough doesn’t mix evenly at low volumes, which limits its versatility for home bakers who often don’t require large batches. The mixer also struggles with very wet, high-hydration doughs, which is surprising given its price and intended use. This makes it less reliable for artisan-style bread or pizza doughs that require higher hydration. It’s noticeably loud during operation, which takes away from the enjoyment of using it. For its cost, I expected smoother operation and better performance across a wider range of tough types

Pros: Slick and modern design, beautiful. Digital display for automatic start and stop. works great. Excellent results if you want to make a napolitain pizza dough. Cons: Very noisy. Delicate. Perfect for people who make pizza once a week or less.

Amazing mixer for getting that smooth dough. Previously had a tilt head ka, lift ka, and bosch. None were as good or quick as this to to get to where you want to be

I’m sorry but this mixer really is better than kitchenaid pro mixer. Its quieter, more powerful, and the bowl is bigger than any of the kitchenaid bowls. It cuts through thick dough with ease and its got a 5 year warranty. Can’t say that about kitchenaid and I’ve owned 2 of them. I realize it’s expensive but you get what you pay for in this case. Just rock solid craftsmanship.
