Great Pizza oven

Beware of rust issues - do not spend the money

One year after purchasing the Karu multifuel, the oven and their $300 table rusted. I called for assistance but was advised that their outside pizza oven, which cost $800, was not covered "for cosmetic issues." Rust is not a cosmetic issue; it is a health issue. Do yourself a favor and do not spend the money; even if covered and kept in an indoor patio, it will rust. It is not worth the money. Many cheaper options for purchase will do the same job and maybe last longer.

We’ve had an extensive look into the images provided, and have determined that this will not present a health or safety issue. The surface rusting is minor (not flaking or separating from the surface), and is not present in any portion of the product that comes into contact with food.
Our warranty does not cover surface rust such as this, because it is an expected result of normal “wear and tear” over time, especially in areas of high humidity and atmospheric conditions such as high salt content that will accelerate oxidation. It will not interfere with the operation of the oven, which can continue to be used to make great pizza for years to come. Additionally, the affected areas can be safely restored with a stainless steel cleaner such as Bar Keepers Friend.

Ooni Karu 16 pizza oven - amazing

Onni support will give you the run around. Warranty is a joke. Look for another brand that will stand behind their product.

Love this Pizza Oven

If you like wood-fired pizzas that cook in as little as 3-5 minutes, this is the oven for you! I recommend using a combo of charcoal and wood (I recommend the wood and charcoal from Ooni). Also get the pizza peel - it makes all the difference when putting your pizzas in. I use 00 flour and cornmeal under the pizza ao it slides off the peel.
