For starters, I've been looking online for the right projector. I wasn't going look anymore and settle for a cheap one until I came upon this one. The controller works well. Love that it lights up. Truly1080p HD. I couldn't believe my eyes. The sound coming out was super loud so good for outside. I will be connecting my own sound system. Setting up was so easy and smooth. I actually wanted to watch the guide video but that came broken. -1 star. Fan gives out a little funky smell and gets really hot, you'll notice if you sit next to it. Picture was prefect. Even with all the lights on. I madea YouTube video for this. Trust me..x1000 better in person than any video.

I was looking for a replacement for our 10 year old 1000 lumen projector. I did a lot of research and read many different reviews before I made a decision. I wanted a full HD 1080p projector and one that I didn't have to have a completely dark room to use. I decided on this one and I'm so glad I did. The picture is phenomenal and at 3200 lumens very bright, even with the lights on in my den or during the day with all curtains open. It has a super sharp picture too. Not noisy at all compared to my old projector. The only flaw is that it does give off quite a bit of heat if you happen to sit close to it, but I have it mounted on our vaulted ceiling in our den projecting on to a 135" screen. We love our new home theater. This was a GREAT buy!!

If you think that "budget projector" means those under-powered, handheld projectors, then you should think again. Like most everything else in consumer electronics, serious, wall-filling home theater projectors continue to get cheaper and better -- and projectors like the Optoma HD27 are one of the elite. This projector includes 3D, has onboard speakers, is compact and is capable of fine image quality. And guess what? It has a gaming mode. Xbox One looks amazing!! Colors are excellent and black levels are perfect. Its picture blows away any projector at this price range. You won't be able to find a better big-screen experience for this amount of money.

I purchased this unit for a business to be used for movie nights instructional videos etc. and after testing it out i'm strongly considering purchasing another for my home. The picture is brilliant, crisp and bright. It's even easy to see in the sun! (sun will wash it out, but you'll have no trouble seeing what's happening) As long as you're ok with only having HDMI inputs and using an external speaker (internal speaker is poor) I think this is an amazing solution for any home theater or business.

This projector melted down when it was first plugged in. Melted plastic and everything. Avoid!

I recently remodeled the basement in my house and purchased this projector for my home theater. It is small in term of the size but the picture quality is excellent. The full HD 1080P projects the pictures clearly. The sound quality is not good though - but anyway I do not expect to use the integrated speakers.

Decided to purchase a projector instead of a larger TV. The features and quality of the image output from this projector far exceeded my expectations. The projector is very easy to setup and use. Would recommend to anyone looking for a large screen without the high cost!

I bought this for having friends over to watch the game etc. I also purchased a 120" screen to go with. The picture is perfect. I hooked up a sound bar to mine, but without the sound bar the built in speaker is pretty good as well. This is a must have for game-day parties!

Very happy with this projector overall, the picture is great. I would definitely recommend the HD27 to anyone in the market for a projector!

You don't have to spend $1000 to get a great working projector for home theater. The Optoma HD27 is a fantastic option with really great display and resolution. Great buy and would highly recommend this product.

I looked for months and read many reviews. For the price, this won hands down. I wanted a projector to use on occasion for movie night in the backyard. I didn't want something that broke the bank and still was 1080, have MHL with brightness. The family loves and glad I chose Optoma.

THIS IS A PRETTY GOOD PROJECTOR FOR THE PRICE. GOOD QUALITY NEED TO HOOK UP EXTRA SPEAKERS THO TO GET THE FULL EXPERIENCE
