This is my second projector. It has all the initial shock value that other projectors have in the same class. The Darbee feature works as advertised and at the right level it certainly enhances the picture quality. The brightness levels are welcomed, especially if you are in a room with ambient light. There's a lot of fine tuning features for people like to tweak settings. Blacks and contrast levels are really good. You do notice some slight rainbows, as you do with most DLP projectors. Overall, a really well done product.

This was a replacement for another Optoma projector i had. Nice easy setup and the colors and picture is so much nicer than my old one. To me the price is reasonable and i always believe you get what you pay for

This is my first projector and I am very impressed. I am using a Silver Ticket 100inch screen and the picture quality is amazing. 4k tvs definitely have richer/vibrant colors and better picture quality, but when weighing the option between a 4k 65 inch tv for $2,500 and a 100+ inch full 1080p HD movie theater in my basement, the choice was easy and I couldn't be happier with my decision.

This is my first projector. Didn't want to go lower end but certainly didn't want to go high end. This project was slightly higher than I was looking to spend but after comparing to others about $150 and less I felt it was worth the extra money. The brightness of the picture is excellent even on the economy mode. only had a couple of months and sell for more than pleased

After a lot of research I went with this projector for my backyard movie nights. The setup took minutes. I threw a Fire Stick in the back of the projector and sent movies to a 120" screen...perfect!

I did my research since this was my first projector and I am 100% curtain this was the correct choice for me. The HD29Darbee has a great amount of lumens for outdoor use without sacrificing much of the resolution. When playing a BluRay through the projector, there is absolutely no quality degradation when projecting onto my Elite DIY 170" screen. Although the sound from the projector is not the best quality in sound, I didn't purchase this for sound... that's what my Bose Soundbar is for. I can't wait for Football season to come back around so I can show off my new "Father's Day" gift.

This projector is many levels above my previous InFocus machine. The new Darbee color processing is fabulous and our utility for this device is greater than the already high level of use we made of our projector in the past. You will not be disappointed if you select the Optoma HD29 Darbee.

I bought this projector to replace my Optoma HD26. Both were 1080p and I was considering buying the Optoma UHD60, but upon further review I decided the HD29 Darbee fit my needs. I watch movies, TV, and game quite a bit and this projector is very clean and sharp. I think it is there best picture for the price until 4k projectors' prices reduce some more.

I have a 133" screen and this looks like a High definition television on it! It is very clear. I found that the trick is to use one of the many presets and tweak it. You will not be disappointed with this projector.
