Why did I purchase this? I had a buried in-wall UHD cable that over time acquired an intermittent short which resulted in signal cutting in and out so much that nothing was watchable from the remote home theater system.
Solution? This system!
Super simple installation—most time consuming element was fishing a new Ethernet cable.
After that it was just connect the cable to the units on each end, apply the supplied power supply to the transmitter end, connect HDMI cable from transmitter to home theater system and from receiver to television input.
It just worked!
I particularly like the power-over-Ethernet feature that only required powering the system from an out of sight power supply at the transmitter end. The threaded nut that holds the power supply input cable to the unit was a nice touch for security.

Have not used the IR control signal passing yet since I already had an IR system but integrating IR through the OREI system is my next step. Well done product.
