Our family enjoyed playing through Ori and the Blind Forest. This new game is just as challenging and just as beautiful. My daughter and I were also very excited about this Collector’s edition and love the art book, soundtrack download, and steel book.

I didn't need to buy the Collector's Edition or the game at all since it I also have Xbox Game Pass, but I just loved the last Ori game so much that I had to have this collector's edition. As far as collector's editions go I'm really impressed with the packaging - it comes in a sturdy hard cardboard shell that houses the steel case and art book. So many collector's editions I've bought in the past have just been the steel cases by themselves and they have often come with dents in the case already from poor shipping/storage. If you love the Ori games like I do I think this is a must have. Onto the actual game, I've been playing it non-stop since it was released and just finished my first play-through yesterday. It builds on the last game in all the right ways and is even more beautiful both in terms of graphics and the story it tells. Enemies are mostly fun to to fight and the boss battles are exciting and challenging. Moving around the map and accessing new areas as you gain more abilities can often feel like a challenge itself, but the game does a good job of having everything unlock organically and I never felt truly frustrated by not being able to get somewhere. The game does not play as smoothly as I would like in its current state (as of 3/20/20) - there are quite a few areas even on the Xbox One X where performance stutters noticeably and some areas take an inordinately long time to load. Hopefully this is resolved in a later patch. I'd enthusiastically recommend everyone play this game, even if you just pay for a month of Game Pass to do it. The last game was a unique experience that really stayed with me and Will of the Wisps is that and more.

PROS: This game is just as wonderful as the first game. Offering increased difficulty compared to the first game. Combat and movement are just as fluid as the the first installment. Graphically amazing. Music is incredible again. Story hits the feels. CONS: Feels more like Hollow Knight now. Which isn't a bad thing... but it's to be noted. TECHNICAL ISSUES Galore... On Xbone, this game had massive frame rate issues. It would freeze up, textures would fail to load and the game would flat out crash sometimes because it couldn't rebound from the lag. Additionally, I 100% completed the game on hard mode and most of my achievements flat out wouldn't unlock. Overall, I LOVE this game as much as the first... but Moon studios /Microsoft Studios probably should have postponed the game a bit to flesh out the technical problems. They aren't small problems. Not sure how it made it through the QA team. I would still highly recommend this game to anybody who loved the first game.

This game has been on my radar since completing its prequel years ago (Ori and the Blind Forest, still a magnificent game by any standard). I rarely buy the CE of any game, but this was a great deal at $40 and includes a gorgeous art book with hundreds of concept art pieces, characters, enemies and environments, including stuff left on the cutting room floor. A pleasant bonus was the entire digital soundtrack from the game (a monstrous 60 tracks!!) and a CD with the piano set pieces. And of course, the always-sexy steelbook. Couldn't be happier with the CE and the game improves on its predecessor ever so slightly in every way. A delight to play or watch, and despite the cutesy look, it can get ferociously difficult...be forewarned!

Don’t let the cutesy characters fool you. This is an often difficult lengthy quest that involves collecting many items, customizations, side quests, and upgrades. The story, graphics, and music are hauntingly beautifully. The gameplay is excellent although can be slightly frustrating and repetitive at times. If you are a fan of platforming games do yourself a favor and play this.

If you loved the original, then this is for you. Not only is it reasonably priced, it includes a lot of extra goodies like the soundtrack and a steelbook. The game takes everything from the first, and adds onto it. The visuals are mesmerizing at times and the soundtrack is sublime. Even if you aren't a fan of the first and are on the fence, just get it.

Ori and the Will of the Wisps is audio and visual gaming perfection. Looks especially wonderful running in 4K HDR. The collectors edition contains the game on disc and soundtrack disc in a sleek steelbook. The real gem of this collectors edition besides the game, is the art book. This is the reason to buy this and worth every cent. Highly recommend

Moon Studios really outdid themselves, the art is absolutely beautiful and there is so much variety to the gameplay. This game is such an experience. Gareth Coker did an outstanding job on the soundtrack, it truly makes the game incredibly immersive and adds to the emotional journey as a whole. Ori and the Will of the Wisps was whole-heartedly worth the wait! In Collectors Edition you get a beautiful art book with 152 pages of artwork from Ori and the Will of the Wisps and not gonna lie, that is quite a number of pages of artwork to look at which seems worth having the book. I also looked into the piano collections that came with the game, I have been listening to the music and love the soundtracks, you get 11 tracks from the CD and I must say, that is some lovely music to listen to. Plus, the digital soundtrack for Ori: The will of the wisps you get a total of 60 tracks!! This is totally worth buying the collectors edition and to those who love Gareth Coker's music that brings Ori 1 and Ori 2 to life! The game itself is already more than a masterpiece that I don't need to say much about it, getting in this edition is worth it!

Ori and the Will of the Wisps was my first ever Ori game let alone my first ever adventure-platform/Metroidvania game. I usually resolve to AAA titles such as Red Dead Redemption, GTA, Forza, and Borderlands. So to take a step outside my comfort zone had me very nervous going in. After finishing the game, I am very happy that I played through it. The narrative is beautiful, the action gameplay is smooth and fluid, the price is very reasonable (I ended up buying the Collector's Edition because it was so well priced!), and the customizability is vast than I ever would have thought. Thanks to Ori, I look forward to future titles from Moon Studios as well as other games within this genre. You have convinced this gamer to branch out and continue their quest to play more games! I love this product! The art on the steel books is beautifully done. The steelbook was well protected, no dents. This games is very good. I love the art style. The art book is hard backed, and sturdy. Highly recommended! Very pleased with this purchase!

I do enjoy my share of collector's editions, and this is one that I can confidently say is a home run! This is what $50 will get you: Steelbook with two discs (game and piano CD), the WHOLE SOUNDTRACK included as a download - I remember other collector's editions having samplers - AND a large art book. The package itself is hefty, and feels good in hand. How is this actually priced at $50?!?!?! The most important part is that the game itself is now among my absolute top Xbox One games, EVER! If you liked the first Ori game - and I've yet to meet someone who doesn't - then I massively encourage getting this beyond all measure. You will be able to handle the feels, folks. (As of this review, I'm 40% through the game, but it already is surpassing the first one in terms of length, depth, gameplay... And so on)

The game play and story is great. The music is awesome and the graphics is one of the best for 2d. Reccomend for any one who like that castlevania style game.

A lot of times you'll see a sequel, and it was obviously a money play. Ori and the Will of the Whisps is one of those rare cases where the sequel manages to dwarf the original. What was a fun metroidvania game has been lifted into a top tier game that all should play. While it is very similar to Hollow Knight in gameplay and mechanics, it has it's own unique charm that can only come from the character interactions and story.

I am a long time fan of Ori and the Blind Forest and honestly didn’t think anything could ever top such an amazing title. This did in spades. The graphics, storytelling and gameplay are just layered together perfectly into one amazing experience. The music of the game really tells it’s own story as well. I would recommend picking this game up, especially the CE, for all the content you’ll get and because you won’t regret it.

I adored the first game so it made sense to get the next one. The soundtrack is so brilliant. I had the product shipped and it arrived promptly and in excellent condition. Everything runs smooth. The game itself is a wonderful addition to this franchise. The music and graphics are beautiful.

If you played the first you gonna love the sequel! Upgraded graphics and soundtrack your in for a treat! You never played this series trust me you won’t be disappointed, I haven’t had so much fun in long time. This game has it all 4K, Dolby atmos, and 120fps on Xbox series x!

If you love the first one or similar games like Metroid you’ll love this one. Probably the most beautiful art for a side scroller game. It has a charming and heart tugging story that’ll pull on them feels. I’m only half way and can’t wait to see what’s next.
