I bought this specific waffle iron to make Liege Belgian waffles. You need a thicker waffle iron for that and use Belgian sugar pearls. It works fantastic!

Makes the deepest waffles ever and cooks perfectly every single time

Works better than expected for the money. Not as heavy duty as a commercial grade, duh. Only thing is if you overfill it the lid will gap open a little. Still cooks good, but will allow waffle to become thicker, only if overfilled though. I only use it once or twice a week so I can't say how it will hold up if used everyday.

This is a great waffle maker; it sets up it no time and it's already assembled. One word of warning is if you've never had or made Belgian waffles before they are HUGE.

Heats up quickly, cooks fast and evenly, and turns out great Belgian waffles. Cleanup is a breeze, because nothing sticks to the surface so hard that it can't be easily brushed off. Very well made compared to other units I looked at.

It makes really big waffles. It has a light on each side of the waffle maker. The light on each side is supposed to signal you when it is time to flip the waffle. Its boring standing there waiting for the light to change. Also the light signals aren't really clear as they go on and off without you doing anything, so if you aren't paying attention you can miss a signal. For that reason, i usually just set a timer on my phone and cook my waffles for a set amount of time on each side. Its also not that easy to clean if you accidentally spill the batter. Its adequate for making waffles if you work around its flaws. But I don't really like it.

This is a great little waffle maker no mess and it makes waffles quickly

My only concern when getting it home was the fact that griddle was not removable. So far though the waffles have come out neatly and there is no sticking. I am making glutten free with this and the product makes quick lovely waffles.

We moved and could not find one I had purchased the year before, so when I seen this on deal of the day I purchased this again as it works great and the waffles come out great each time, easy to use and makes great waffle each time we have used it my wife likes this as well makes cooking waffle a easy task, have told other about this product.

The most fluffy waffle maker ... pour the batter in heated maker and close and flip at same time...awesome waffles ready:)

The Oster Belgian Waffle Maker has been a great addition to our kitchen. After reading and following the the owners manual for first time use, it has been easy to make beautifully made waffles consistently using a great recipe we found on line. It's easy to use and easy to clean.

Our kids have a new favorite in the house: homemade waffles. Each one of our teens insists on taking a turn to mix up batter and cook the waffles for the rest of us. It's fun, it's easy and the results are consistent and tasty.

Easy to use and easy to clean. Love the deep wells on the waffle. They come out light and fluffy.

Works well, heats and reheats between waffles quickly. Could not be easier to clean. Let it cool , wipe it off, put it away till next time.

All reviews should be done initially then months and then a year later. SO far so good. These are nice thick waffles and they are crispy or soft depending on your preference. I would have liked the devise to be a little heavier so it felt more substantial. I do like the coating on the plates which is a new material Not teflon. So I would definitely purchase it again.
