I almost didn't buy it due to some negative reviews but glad I did. I don't think it's noisy (for a blender) as some have mentioned. The only thing I don't like is the feel of the lid (kind of cheap plastic feel). I have a Blendtec and a little Bella Rocket and this is my in-between blender. My mom's Oster lasted at least 50 years and was still going strong when I got rid of it.
