The Oster Juice Extractor is an easy to use, no frills juicer that does a fantastic job getting every last drop of juice out of the pulp. Using the juice extractor, I juiced carrots, apples, pineapples, pears, grapes, spinach,and kale. The juicer performed flawlessly. Here are some of the things I like about it. Pros: Easy assembly: Once you get the hang of it, it’ll take less than a minute to put all the pieces back together after cleaning. Simple to Use: A single knob controls the juicer. Turn the knob to the right and it spins at high speed; turn it to the left and it spins at low speed; and turn it back to the neutral position switches the juicer off. Can’t get any easier to use than that. You only have two speed options: high and low, nothing in between. High speed for hard fruits and veggies and low speed for soft fruits and veggies. Efficient: I expected the pulp that was collected in the pulp container to be wet with residual juice, but was pleasantly surprised by how dry the pulp was. The juicer does a fantastic job extracting as much of the juice as possible. To get any more juice from the pulp, you would need to upgrade to the pricier masticating juicers. Large 32 oz pitcher: The container is large enough to hold 4 cups of juice. You can even put your own glass underneath the spout by attaching the juice nozzle to prevent splashing. Con: The only thing I did not enjoy about the juicer is the clean up. I washed the parts by hand, but they are dishwasher safe. There are six pieces to wash. That’s a lot to clean. However, they all wash off very quickly except for the filter basket. I wash all the parts immediately after juicing so that nothing sticks to the juicer parts. Cleaning the filter basket is not as easy as the “Rinse N’ Ready” that the Oster marketing claims it to be. Pulp is clinging to the fine mesh filter basket and must be dislodged. You can’t simply run it under the faucet to remove the pulp. What makes this a bit precarious is that the cutting blade sits at the bottom of the filter basket, so you will have to be extra careful not to cut your fingers as you’re washing the filter basket. What worked for me when cleaning the filter basket was to use a soft bristle toothbrush. The bristles easily dislodged the pulp from the filter under running water and I did not have to risk cutting my fingers on the cutting blade. Finally, I want to mention the Extra Wide Food Chute. Oster claims that the Food Chute fits whole fruits and veggies, even a whole apple. Well, the truth is that the diameter of the food chute is just a hair over 2.75”. Most apples, pears, and oranges are larger than 2.75.” Therefore, plan on cutting the fruits down to size before feeding it into the chute. Verdict: The juicer works so well and is so simple to use that I can forgive Oster for the marketing claims. I would definitely recommend the Oster Juice Extractor for those looking to promote healthy living.

This juicer is powerful with a 900W motor, comes with a large capacity pitcher and even bigger pulp bin. It has two speeds: Slower for softer fruits and vegetables, and high for harder ones. Even in slow speed it juices an apple in seconds. The chute is wide and long to minimize spills. It doesn't actually fit an entire apple, nor I think you should, but it gets close. Cut a large apple in four pieces and it will be just fine. While browsing other brands, it seems that all the full size juicers look more or less the same. What distinguishes this model is that instead of the typical stainless steel mesh filter, this has a red coating that makes it easier to clean. After juicing several apples, peaches and grapes, and let it sit for a while, I was able to clean the filter with running water and a sponge, without needing a brush. The filter and other pieces are dishwasher safe. All other pieces are hard plastic except for the pulp basket which is a flexible plastic. Pros: - Powerful Motor. - Large capacity. - Easier to clean filter (Still requires some effort, but less so). - Proven design. - Motor base did not get dirty after normal use. It's covered in stainless steel so it's easy to wipe off regardless. - It works well at what it does. Cons: - The pieces around the filter have some crevices that are hard to clean: The top part has some angles and pockets that require rinsing with more pressure. The bottom half has a lip that can get pulp stuck. - Overall takes from 5 to 7 minutes to clean, having a large sink with a disposer. As I said, parts are dishwasher-safe although we prefer to hand-wash these things. - The pulp and juice containers don't stack together so it takes a good amount of space when putting it away. Overall: I like the powerful engine and speed. Leaves pulp dry. The filter is easier to clean than other juicers we had before this, but like every single other appliance like this, needs cleaning.

My wife and I have owned the original Jack Lelane juicer for over 10 years and this Oster Juicer has taken the its place. Set up was a snap. Took about 10 mins out of the box washer and assembled. Hi/Lo setting is nice and has a specific function for certain types of veggies or fruits. Passing the veggie or fruit was a breeze as the blades were sharp and the screen pulled the juice out and down the spout to the supplied pitcher. Only con here is the juice stopper is a little hard to operate by twisting it. It has a tendency to fall out. Clean up was a snap. The screen has some epoxy coating on it so it cleans real fast. The blade snaps in and out easy so there are no special tools to disassemble. I used the juicer for beet juice. It came out nice and no noticeable pulp in the juice. Unit is small enough to store easily. I would highly recommend this product.

So I will preface this review by saying I've never owned a juicer before and while I am happy with it there were a few minor issue, but these may be common gripes. However, if they are common, you'd figure one of the companies that makes them would have figured out how to address these concerns. To start, set up could not be easier, it's all of about 4 pieces that quickly (and obviously) snap and slide together without any issues. A quick wash and sticking it all together and I was up and running in <10 minutes. Added benefit is they all state they are dishwasher safe, although since it is plastic I'd recommend top rack. Once together the usage is extremely straightforward. There's only two options on the dial (high and low), you turn it on, start dropping in your fruits and/or vegetables, and away you go. I will say that it is a bit of a jarring experience for someone unused to a juicer. Orange slices tend to bounce and ricochet around the inside of the unit when you drop them in, and overall it sounds a bit on par with a blender. Be sure you have your pitcher in place to catch the juice before you start, as immediately the juice comes out of the spout on the side. Due to the rate at which it juices the things you drop in, the juice tends to be a bit frothy, which isn't necessarily a negative, more just something I figured I should point out. Once you're finished, let the pitcher sit for a few minutes to catch the majority of the remaining drips, however, the unit will continue to drip onto your counter for quite a long time after you're finished, so you'll want to put a paper towel or something similar under the spout after you remove the pitcher. It would be nice if there was a valve that shut when the pitcher was removed so it wouldn't just freely drip onto the countertop. Overall it was extremely easy to use and anyone looking to get a juicer for the first time would do well to consider this one.

The Oster JusSimple Centrifugal Juice Extractor in my opinion will make a juicer out of anyone! This is my very first juice extractor and it has left a very good impression on me about the process. It is really that simple to use and delivers as expected. The motor is rated at 900W with two speeds. The recommended settings suggest the low speed setting for soft fruits/vegetables and the high speed for hard fruits/vegetables. In my experience, the two speed settings measured similar sound decibels; the motor is very powerful and it is expected to be loud. The pulp collector is generous and can hold quite a lot. It also doubles as a quick reference guide for the optimal speed settings for the various fruit/vegetables that may be juiced. The delivery chute can wholly accept a regularly sized apple while the juice pitcher jug has a 32-ounce capacity. The engineers actually thought about everything and even included a stopper to prevent dripping when the jug is removed from the filter basket assembly. Another plus is the fact that the various components (aside the motor base of course) are dishwasher safe. Personally, I do prefer to clean the filter by hand to ensure all residue is removed. In summary, aside the health benefits of juicing, you get a powerful juicer that is both easy to clean and user friendly (quick and easy assembly/disassembly). I expect several years of use and it appears up to the task.

It quite simple and easy to operate and clean. It has two speeds but there is very little difference between them. It take longer to prep the fruits and vegies that it does to get the juice out. The only issue I have is that there is some juice left in the pulp meaning you can still extract a bit more by pressing down on the remnant pulp. Putting it together and taking apart for cleaning is very easy just need to be carful when removing the blade cone.

Awesome product. A bit noisy. Also I hate having to clean sooo many things after use but it’s worth it!

Works great. Easy to clean, dishwasher safe. Bought this to make beet juice for blood pressure , makes short work of the beets, but make sure you cut them up into smaller chunks so the machine can digest them.

The juicer is good quality, but loud when you run it. Overall, easy to clean and parts are dishwasher safe. I’m happy so far with the product.

This has been a great juicer to start off with, do note you will get quite a bit of foaming depending on what you are juicing, it doesn’t bother me I just stir it up and that’s fine with me. Cleaning is easy, though I just rinse it and throw it into the dishwasher, the mesh on the basket does not just rinse off but still cleans easily, use a sponge to get the bulk of the pulp off and then let is dry and remove the remainder before cleaning is my recommendation.

I love this Juicer! It can handle just about anything! Not as noisy as some others and extremely easy to clean!
