Does everything I need it to do. Crushes ice no problem and mixes everything well. Was only 40 bucks. Can't beat the price.

I had a more powerful 600 watt Oster Blender and broke the glass jar and decided to purchase this one. It only has a 450 watt motor but does a good job. The thing I like about Oster products is that their parts are interchangeable. Frequently, I use the new glass jar on my older more powerful motor base. The thing I don't really like about this blender is the amount of speeds. Upon using it, 16 speeds is excessive to me. It is a nice blender though.

I ordered this blender because I had one like it for years and wore it out. This one is a little different. I like the glass jar instead of the old plastic one. It blends very well. It's not very heavy duty but it easily blends frozen fruit and crushed ice. It's worth the price!!

Good enough comparing price and performance, if looking for something better try an expensive one.

This blender is quick and powerful. It's not as noisy as other blenders. The measuring cover is a great plus!

Great product, and reasonable price. Lots of uses. Smoothies, salsa, and much more. I love it.

Various speeds for various recipes. Mainly used for sauces and shakes. Very sturdy and well made product.

The Oster 16-Speed Blender performs at least as well as other blenders, and it has more specific speed options than the more expensive blenders. I am very impressed with this blender. The quality and performance is what I expect from Oster. I love the fact that the jar is glass is designed for easier pouring than any other blender. The presentation and its appearance make looks my kitchen armonious.

For those two who want efficient, cheap alternative for overpriced highend blending powerhouses, this is ideal product! 16 speeds, power to crush ice, easy to clean and big tank - what you want more?

Before I begin my review, I should start out by saying that I am a bit of a blender snob, and I collect them for fun. I didn't really NEED a blender, but I saw the display model at Best Buy and couldn't resist. That being said, I am very impressed with this blender. It is consistent with the quality that I expect from Oster. It blended the same Strawberry Banana Smoothie that I always make MUCH better than the 7-year old KitchenAid blender that I often use - no chunks whatsoever. I tested the ice crush feature, and it made mince meat out of ice in 2-3 seconds. In fact, I would dare say that it crushes ice perfectly, and faster than any of my other blenders. I also appreciate the Easy Clean feature - a definite bonus. I like the metal drive shaft MUCH better than the plastic teeth on the KitchenAid and Cuisinart - there is no guesswork as far as where/when to place the jar on top of the base; no teeth that could potentially break/wear (note: the teeth have never broken on my KitchenAid or Cuisinart, so I am just speaking about potentialities). The jar is designed for MUCH easier pouring than any other blender I have used. If you are at all concerned with the presentation/appearance of your blending results, this blender certainly delivers. Why a 4-star instead of a 5? The plastic collar is much more fragile than other blenders I have used (also, more fragile than other Oster's that I have seen). The rest of my cons are very nit-picky and may not bother most people. If anyone is familiar with the smell of a new blender motor, this blender (along with Cuisinart and Waring blenders) has that new motor smell if you let it run for more than 15 seconds. Personally, this does not bother me, but I have noticed that it makes some people nervous. My initial ice-crush experiment actually produced ice that was infused with the smell, but a few good cleanings should solve that problem. Despite these minor things, I would highly, highly recommend this blender!

Oster to me has always meant the best. I have worn out so many blenders over the years from constant use but they have been worth every penny I paid for each and every one. I tried a Ninja upon advise from a sales person and brought it back 3 days later because it didn't do the job.

This compact blender packs a pretty good punch for its size. No problems crunching ice & making salsa is a breeze now. The glass makes clean up much simpler than cleaning plastic. Nice looking design as well.

Does a GREAT job on ice, mixed drinks, dips, sauces so far. I like the glass container so much better than plastic too. Easy to clean. Good price

I was looking for a blender for our Florida home. I have a Vitamix at home in Michigan but did not wish to carry it back and forth, nor, did I wish to spend that much in our second home. It performs well and does everything's nag that I need it to do.

I'm no professional chef , so after reading reviews online I decided to go for this one after my ninja completely disappointed me. This Oster blends nicely and makes my sauces nice and smooth without any chunks , just the way I like it. Try it out!

At first I was unsatisfied with this blender. It's extremely loud! I've used it daily for the past few weeks though and changed my mind. It blends even difficult material well, like almond flour. All the plastic pieces that usually end up breaking on other blenders are made of metal on this blender. For the price, it's ended up being a good buy.

This blender works great. Makes a great Frappe, crushes the ice with ease. Makes good shakes as well. Easy to take apart and clean also.
