We have only tested it with ice, but the blade crushed it with ease. The ice was crushed to a finer consistency than our old blender due to the dual direction blade. The whole system seems very sturdy and well-made. I appreciate the "old school" glass jar. Especially like that it's more afforable than some of the popular brands.

We’ve been very impressed with the ease with which it performs this job. And other reviews that gave the impression that it is loud are exaggerated. I nearly spent more than 3 times the money for something else. So glad I didn’t. I have nothing bad to say. Great product!

I need to throw it away! Just contacted BestBuy: they claim that there is NO warranty at all on this product which I was not aware, and very surprised how this is possible.

I didn’t realize how much I would enjoy the cup— it makes clean up so much easier and therefore I find myself making smoothies more often. I love that the pitcher is made of glass. Giving 4 stars because I wish the cup was also made of glass (I purchased this brand/model as a more sustainable alternative to the many fully plastic blenders on the market).

Buy this right this second, you cannot go wrong with it. It blends insanely well, really smooth when you select the smoothie option. The sound it produces also isn't harsh, it's quite subtle and reasonable considering the amount of power and how hard the blending is.

Anything I put in it gets absolutely pulverized - I've gotten the smoothest smoothies I could hope for with this thing! I could wish it were a bit quieter on its higher settings, but given that it's a BLENDER, noise is to be expected.

This is so much better at crushing ice that as long as it keeps doing it well, we'll be happy. The blender cup is a nice bonus too.

Nice for making smoothies as well as for other mixing tasks. It is handy to just have one device instead of multiple appliances taking up space. I’ve had this blender for about a month now and it works amazing no complaints. This blender is used almost everyday here in our house hold. The one thing I had to get adjusted to are the different settings.
