This one looks great and has the glass jar that I prefer for my blenders. It does have a hard time managing a full load or ice. I would go for a more powerful unit next time.

Not for Thick Recipes

Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was hoping to use this for hummus but the design doesn't do a good job of stirring the contents and drawing it down into the blades. Even after adding more liquid, it only stirs for a couple of seconds then the contents just sit there with the blades spinning in the bottom. Unfortunately I can't upload video here showing the problem. I had to open and stir manually every few seconds and it took a long time to complete. The glass got warm from the motor and the hummus came out warm, too. Not good. My less powerful old blender did a much better job of mixing the contents even when using less liquid, so I know it can be done. This is probably better for smoothies, drinks, sauces, etc. But with such a limited range I can't recommend it. Ironically, they have a hummus recipe on the box.
