I tried salsa mode but for small amount it didn't really crush well. Next time I added liquid and that helped. It crushes well otherwise.

Great blender for the price

Sadly it seems to have taken a step backward in durability. We make a lot of smoothies with 20 OZ of Ice as a base and although it will do the job, if I make more than two in a row it starts to struggle, overheats and smells obnoxious. Like a lot of companies they should have just left a goof product alone instead of changing for changes sake!

Good upgrade
