If your blender is not working, it might be because the unit is not getting enough power from the wall outlet where it is currently plugged in or the wall outlet itself is a non working outlet. To remedy this issue, check if there is no physical damage on its cord and if there's none, try unplugging the blender. Let the unit rest for 3-5 minutes. Afterwards, plug it into a different wall outlet. Do not use it with any extension cords, power strips and power converters or inverters as it may affect the blender's performance. Also, make sure that all parts and accessories are properly inserted. Otherwise, it might cause the product not to work properly.
Your Oster® Pro 500 3-Speed Blender has a 3-year limited warranty. If this doesn't resolve your issue, we'd like to kindly request that you contact us directly in order to help you get to the best resolution. Have a good day!

I need to shake it or add more liquid at times for it to do what it is suppose to but for the price it is doing what I need. The first use was perfect, but then not as much.

Great at first!

It was packaged up by Best Buy very well. Unfortunately the second time we used it it had a smell. The third time of use it started to smoke a little! The reverse motor worked great. Literally pulverized everything we put in it even frozen cherries. But something must not have been wired quite right. Best Buy was great about the return. We still bought an Oster blender but it was from another site. Best Buy was all out of the one we wanted. We do appreciate Best Buy and all their help. This one just had problems.

Please make sure that you are not overloading the blender with ingredients so that it can perform well. Adding too much food or liquids can cause the motor to wear down more quickly.

Good not great
