Not satisfied. Broke within a week.

I was extremely unhappy with the quality. My spouse unfortunately through it away before I could bring it back to receive a refund of replace it. I basically just through away money. Poor quality and only made it one week without burning up.

I thought it was worth a shot for 30 bucks. Unfortunately, it seems to be underpowered and not able to handle crushing ice for smoothies (starts smelling like an electrical fire). The ability to reverse the blades is a nice option though.

This is the second Oster I’ve returned. Nothing wrong with the first one but the buttons were all in Spanish. This one worked at first but the piece at the bottom that sticks into the actual blender keeps coming off.

1. Is the sealing ring over the blade?
2. Is the threaded bottom cap tight enough?
3. Is the jar cracked at the bottom?
4. Is the threaded bottom cap cracked?
5. Is the sealing ring missing?
6. Is the sealing ring cracked, broken or rotting
7. Does the item being blended exceed jar capacity?

I really only need a blender to puree soups and sauces. The first blender I received never worked. The power never turned on. The second blender I received wobbled in the base but worked. While I was making pesto, I noticed it was leaking from the bottom. I know I had it tight because I needed help unscrewing it to clean it. I cleaned it up and returned it. I am now looking for a higher quality blender.
