Makes juicing fast and easy

I started with carrots, then added some blueberries, spinach, a plum, strawberries and blackberries. The juice was very thin and no pulp made it to the pitcher. The flavors were really something and it was such a healthy treat. I think that people underestimate how much product it takes to make a cup of juice. I ended up using quite a bit of fruit and vegetables, but the good news is that it leaves the pulp in a container that makes it easy to consume later. I think that the pulp was every bit as good as the juice. There is very little waste if one uses both. The machine is well built and very easy to assemble and disassemble. As with everything, it’s important to read the directions first. There are some hints that you will want to follow for using it the first time. There is a seal-cleaning feature for the filter and it took more than one iteration to get things nice and clean. I suggest cleaning out the pulp, rinsing, then reassembling and finally following the self-cleaning procedure multiple times. I will use this a lot and look forward to making healthy drinks for years to come.

Not to exaggerate but save your time and effort getting it repaired every month. I returned my original order, have only used it for 3 weeks (twice a week use) and it broke. Got a new one with the same exact model to give it a chance because it does well juicing and it broke again. I got the second one last week of January and have only use it once a week and it’s not even end of February. Smh

Juicing is a decision that most people don't fully appreciate until they've tried it. Aside from the benefits of juicing fresh fruits and vegetables, there is something that you won't find out until you try it, and that's that juicing is a ton of work, and a ton of money to buy all the produce. We have juiced in the past and enjoyed all the great drinks, but we were always put off by these two sticking points. That being said, This machine does a wonderful job at turning produce into tasty drinks. I will reiterate what other people have said in reviews, and that is, read the directions! They tell you the correct way the machine is supposed to work so there shouldn't be any misconception of what to expect out of it. This is a very heavy duty, beautiful machine and it worked very well for us. We had no issues creating juices. The whole machine is pretty well self contained and keeps all the rinds, etc., inside a convenient container at the left side. The feeder chute is large enough to where you don't need to fine chop things in order to get them in. And while it tells you to push the veggies in slowly to get the optimum amount of juice, we found that we barley had to press very firmly before they were sucked inside. Carrots and apples required a bit more pressure but went through easily. Operation was simple (there's only three positions on the knob), and the most time consuming part was rough cutting the produce. The juice took only about a minute tops, to make. The construction reminds me of quality small appliances that were made in the 50s and 60s. A good strong motor is included and we found no need to ever go past the first speed setting. I like the way all the parts fit together. It's well engineered, and doesn't make a big mess like a lot of similar machines. It seems like it's built to last years instead of the typical months that we've all gotten used to appliances lasting these days. Cleanup is never a fun part of juicing, but I will say, if you disassemble and rinse/wash it out right away, it's pretty easy. One of the difficult parts of the cleaning process on juicers is the screen. This machine has kept that in mind and provided a nice way to get a huge head start on removing all the small debris left in the screen. The chute feeder can be filled with water and has a unique process where you can run the water through the screen and use the plastic scraper at the bottom of the chute press to scrape off anything left in the screen. It works really well. The rest of the machine disassembles easily and can be rinsed and washed, or rinsed and put in the top rack of the dishwasher. Very well thought out.

It is very well designed from an aesthetic point of view. All the parts fit together in an easy and intuitive way. Some of the parts, particularly the little pitcher the juice flows into feel a bit on the thin side. But other than that I have nothing but love for the looks and feel of this device. Juicing is a breeze. Just had an amazing glass of orange juice that took me back many years to thinking…oh ya, that’s what freshly juiced tastes like! It had been far too long since I had experienced such a delightful treat. I’ve used a few juicers and the actual juicing ability seems pretty strong. Drop your prepared fruit and/or veggies down the food chute and use the plunger to push it into the juicer. The motor has 3 speeds and felt as though it had plenty of power available when needed. Did I mention how scrumptious fresh juice is?! How about the self cleaning feature you may ask, as this was what really caught my eye about this model. The self cleaning really only cleans the main metal juicer part. It doesn’t clean any of the removable plastic pieces. However I still found the device very easy to clean overall. Rinse off the main cover, then run the self cleaning, then rinse all the removable plastic. Just a few minutes and all were clean and drying on my rack. The key of course is to clean it immediately after using before anything starts to dry. All in all I am very happy with my new juicer. It works well and is easy to clean. It looks good when its just sitting on the counter and its light and easy to move to my pantry when not wanted in the kitchen. I look forward to my fresh glasses of all sorts of juice and would recommend this quite enthusiastically to a friend.

My wife does not mind doing that, but she was ecstatic when we received this juicer. Let me start with the most obvious part it works great juicing, we never had any problems with pieces of fruit that were too think or the machine getting jammed. It worked very well for us what really set this juicer apart was the self cleaning feature , it worked way better than I thought it would and was very happy with the results. If you need a juicer but do not want the hassle of having to take apart a machine to clean every time this is definitely what I would recommend

If your Oster® Self-Cleaning Professional Juice Extractor is not turning on, it might be because the unit is not getting enough power from the wall outlet where it is currently plugged in or the wall outlet itself is a non working outlet. To remedy this issue, check if there is no physical damage on its cord and if there's none, try unplugging the juice extractor and let it rest for 3-5 minutes. Plug the juice extractor into a different wall outlet and see if it will work. Do not use it with any extension cords, power strips and power converters or inverters as it may affect the hand mixer's performance.
