Would have been a great device if it worked! Very poorly designed configuration flow. Everything has to be configured in one shot - add to your wifi/ethernet, software update and then channel scan. Failure at any step makes you start all over again. Real pain! I am SlingTV subscriber. So tried to configure using SlingTV iPhone app so that I can see local channels in my subscription. It always gets stuck after channel scan, which is the last step, just showing a spinning wheel and "Starting stream..." message. Called AirTV support. They asked me to do a hard reset and go through the configuration steps. Same issue. They asked me exchange the device through BestBuy, which I did. Same issue on the new box. Called AirTV support again. They said it could be a SlingTV app issue, so I should call them. Called SlingTV support, they just asked me call back AirTV since its their device! FWIW I have tried connecting using 2.5GHz and 5GHz WiFi and Ethernet, reinstalling SlingTV appp, using different SlingTV account, hard reset over a dozon times. Same issue every time. Its going back for good,

I'm very impressed with the ease of setup through Sling TV, I connected via Wi-Fi. Picture quality and audio are both great. OTA channels show up within the slings channel guide. I picked up more than 50 over the air stations. Re scan any time to pick up new channels floating through space. Perfect addition.

Setup can fail for strange reasons, and once it is set up, if you decide to move the antenna in search for better reception, then the phone app will freeze when you try to rescan. You end up having to reset the AirTV, and then start all over again, redo all the firmware updates, etc.... What a hassle! Image quality is simply not as good through AirTV off the LAN, than it is straight to the TV from the antenna, neither. The tuner is also less sensitive, which means I've lost channels with the AirTV. Very disappointing! Finally, HDD support for the DVR function is very poor. None of my laptop, or portable hard drives worked properly with it, and that only my microSD card in a USB adapter would work. Lame! Do I really have to get another SD card for my camera, because of this thing, when I have perfectly working hard drives that should just work? C'mon! Who's got time for this? Couple this with Sling, which has a buggy, crashing app for my Roku, and I was done with the entire setup. I have canceled my Sling subscription, and returned my AirTV for a refund.

I needed this unit do to the coax feed to the TV above our stone fireplace was bad. This unit provides our local over the air stations as part of Sling with the same quality signal as my other coax fed TV’s.

Works, kind of...get a lot of "this channel is currently unavailable" even though I have 100% signal...DVR is sketchy too... they may eventually get it right, but it's not there yet.

Bought this upon recommendation from an employee at a local Best Buy store. They didn’t have it in stock in store so I ordered online. This device only integrates with a few very select devices, which I was told it would work with any that has the sling app...not true....does not work on Xbox one or Samsung Smart TVs. Don’t waste your money go buy a better product that will work with everything. I expected a lot more from Best Buy than to promote such an inferior product.

This was my second OTA Dvr because I wanted to get a unit that works with Sling TV. It works good and no complaints. The integration with SlingTV is good but I would like to have a simple guild. SlingTV guide is not the easiest.

Easy set up - just make sure to get a good antenna. Watch local channel over your streaming media device. Watch your favorite teams without paying ridiculous subscription fees.

I recieved my airtv box last week and installed it but it took a few tries to get it integrated with my sling tv on my roku but once it got connected it's been a breeze so dont get frustrated if you run into trouble

We purchased this in the hopes it would solve the problem of not being able to record over the air broadcast tv. It does that and more. You do need an external hard drive to record, but once you have that you can record and watch programs back, and even skip through the commercials. We have sling TV and this was really simple to set up. We now have all of our stations, both sling and broadcast, all on one guide. We are also able to watch anything on multiple devices at the same time without running cables anywhere. We are very pleased with this and are glad we were able to get rid of the expensive cable service.

Records anything you can get with your antenna. Works with or without Sling. My only complaint is that it has no video outlet. You must connect to it through wi-fi. For that reason I only gave it 4 stars.

First time setting it up took an hour. Afterward, it works. The payback to this is about 10 months assuming you are a cord cutter saving $8 per month.

Works for over the air TV and antenna. Works with sling TV. Not the best at recording thru sling.

Good tuner, picks up the weaker Canadian stations on from my outdoor antenna. The DVR works nicely and you can use just a thumb drive if you want. Transmits signal from my outdoor antenna throughout my house wirelessly like it's supposed to. I've had to unplug it to reboot it a couple times, so it's not perfect, but for the price and the fact you don't need a subscription to use this it's worth the effort.

You can get local channels into your wifi network and watch on any tv or device connected.

Worked exactly as I had hoped. I was able to place this device and one antenna in our attic. This dramatically improved our reception. Meanwhile, we got to get rid of the other antennas tied to each television. While the DVR functionality isn't why I bought it, that is also handy. If you have Sling TV, it integrates nicely into the interface.

I love the integration into my Sling TV. It does do a weird loading thing every so often though.

Bought this hoping to get our local channels. Could only get one channel when we moved the antenna in weird places in our house. Could be where we live, but was disappointed it didn't work as well as advertised. Will be returning.
