The back of the case is very slick and provides no grip on the phone. It seems like it provides good protection but zero control in your hands.

Posted .Actually, the Commuter Series case has consistently been just the two components—a hard outer shell and synthetic rubber inner slipcover. Well, way back in the days of the iPhone 6 and earlier, we did include a polycarbonate screen protector that was optional for use, but other than that this case is pretty much the same.
If you're looking for something a bit more robust with additional layers, that would be our Defender Series Pro case. This model has been tested to ensure it's compatible with Qi technology, but results can still vary depending on what type of charger is being used. Also, fair warning that it doesn't have any internal magnetic properties that would provide a "locking" connection to a MagSafe charger, though it will allow a charge to pass through. If you're not looking to utilize Apple's MagSafe ecosystem, our OtterSpot Wireless Charging System will work great with the case!

Posted .We actually have tested the Commuter Series case to ensure it's compatible with Qi wireless technology, but that can unfortunately still leave open the door for a varied experience depending on what charger is being used. In addition, while the case will allow a charge to pass from a MagSafe charger through to the device, it doesn't have any internal magnetic properties to facilitate a "locking" connection.
Have you tried our OtterSpot charger? Although we aren't able to test for use with all of the third-party options available these days, this one worked just fine for us.
