They cost a little more but they are worth the extra cost when you consider you're trying to protect a $1000 phone. Even if you have protection coverage there is a deductable plus the time you don't have a working phone if you damage it. Going cheap on your phone case isn't worth it.

A little bit smaller/slimmer but with good protection from drops, etc, and a cover for the USB Port. You can always count on OtterBox. I ended up going for the bigger Defender case for even more protection but that added to the size, of course.

Openings for camera, microphone, and charger are crisp and well-defined.

This model is much thinner and I don't really notice it in my pocket. I haven't dropped my phone at all, but I am confident this case would do it's job.

Works just as I want, and all of my data, apps, and info transfered over with google and the samsung tranfer thing. A little bit of trouble with connecting it since I bought online and picked up, but it was easy enough to do in my own

So, I had experience with the quality. When I bought my new phone, I was on the lookout for an OtterBox case. Luckily, Best Buy had a variety of options available to choose from. I just had to pick one which fit my budget.
