Posted .Hello! The Defender Pro Series case is designed so you can use the device while it is in the case without having to remove the case. The shield stand piece of the case has some amazing features to offer as well, but the case can be used with or without the shield stand. I have only trusted Otterbox with my Apple products and I am extremely disappointed, frustrated, and in disbelief. Purchase on 1/31/ iPad broken on 2/19/22. This is a $70 case and didn’t last 1 month. The plastic “protective cover” is not tight to the case and lifts. Also, the Apple Pencil holder should have been positioned better. Very flimsy and poorly designed.
