    Outterbox no need

    I've purchased outterbox for several years and recently they've change the layout on the defender. The purpose of the defender was the build in screen. The screen is no longer and the price is still the same. I had to purchase the glass screen for additional $40.00. However, they were able to price match. So imagine paying the full price for the otterbox $59.99+ 40 for a screen protector. The only reason I purchased it is because my husband is an mechanic and the hard surface can become a nightmare. Do not recommend... purchased for the Samsung S8+

    Otter has sold its customers. The defender case for the Galaxy S8+ does not have a keyboard cover. Otter says it is because the keyboard of the S8 and S8+ have a curved edge. They had a face cover on their Galaxy S7+ cases. If they can make a case for the curved S7 they should be able to make a cover for the S8.At least Best Buy is thinking of their customers by selling a glass keyboard cover tor the S8+.

    big and bulky

    I did not like my phone case and holder. It is big and bulky and unless you are someone who wears pants and a belt, it really does not clip and stay. As a matter of fact, I tried to clip it to my pants pocket and it popped off and fell to the ground. It absolutely would not stay. I have had phone cases/holders in the past that worked just fine clipping to my pocket.

    Expensive flaws

    I don't like the flap blocking the charger and headphone jack. I don't like no screen protector at the same high price. I don't like I can't take off the case quickly for VR. I do like the fact I no longer accidentally click the Bisbie button. Probably return for something that has quick removal and no flap blocking ports.

    Poor Quality, Cracked around the camera/fp scanner

    After 3 months, the case cracked around the camera/fingerprint scanner cutout. The case still looks new and works fine, its just very disappointing knowing its not perfect. Otterbox charges $6 shipping for Warranty claims and must be paid before you can even file a claim. This information can be seen on their website.

    When I bought it, i thought to myself "oh, it's an otterbox, it'll keep my new phone safe" WRONG! Literally within a week of buying my phone and case on the same day, I dropped it at work and I cracked my phone. Also, it has been slowly falling apart since I got the case, so now it barely stays together.

    Not the Same Otterbox

    I have used Otterbox cases for my last 6 phones and swore by them. This is the NEW screenless edition. There is no protection for the screen on the S8+. Same price for less of a product. Was able to get a better product with built in screen protection for a third of the price. No more Otterbox cases for me.

We intentionally decided to forego a built-in screen protector with this series because we predicted a bit of hindrance resulting from any integrated protection over the uniquely curved display. We wanted customers to have full access and the best interaction possible with the infinity glass, so we left out the screen protector and engineered the Alpha Glass product instead, which applies directly to the screen.     With so many different cell phone cases around, the defender was not what I was looking for. I had a hard time trying to figure out how to separate the two flimsy plastic pieces apart so I could put it on the cell phone. And the rubber part was flimsy also. I didn't bother testing it out on my galaxy s8+.

    This cover was way too big and bulky for me. I am sure it would protect the phone, but it's size is too much to overcome. Every time you want to plug it in, you need to open a small flap at the bottom which was a pain. I returned this for a different, more slim model.

    Only wore holster once. Too heavy and bulky on my belt and hip. Phone case is also too heavy and bulky. The thick leather over various phone ports and switches make it very awkward and difficult to use. I am considering returning it. Maybe a good choice for construction workers.

    This is the second otterbox case I've bought. The first time you drop it that's it. It's so hard to press the power button and makes a noise I went with commuter and haven't had any more trouble. I don't recommend it but if u drop a lot maybe it's a best fit for you

    The protector was damaged

    The instructions for the installation was completely wrong as well as the video. The layers of plastic that sandwiched the Zagg protector was stuck to each other and the Zagg protector lifted off the screen when I tried to pull the outer layer off.

    Dropped my galaxy 8 in the case cracked the screen. A waste of $50 should have gone to the mall and got one for all the proctor otter box gave. Was told only the box garrenteed. As useful a a bag of bricks to a drowing man

    I have not been able to fit my galaxy s8+ into this item. then I realized, if I did, it would be a hassle to remove it for use with a vr unit. then have to struggle to put it back.

    Phone arrived with a few scratches not noted. Also the sound quality was as if you were in a tunnel. Finally the screen went unresponsive!
