The defender is a very protective item, it doesn’t have a built in screen protector but the previous models that had one tended to cloud up or stop functioning. This one works well with an add on screen protector.

Perfect case for iPad Pro 11 inch 2022

You can even play freebie and throw it around. Otterbox in my opinion is number 1 when it comes to cases.

The case pulls away from the tablet and exposes the edge of the screen. One drop of the tablet from four feet caused the screen to crack and spider web from side to side. I've always used Defenders for my iPhones and swear by them. I'm not sure why this model was made with a weakness in the hardware.

The cool thing is that on the right side there’s a opening for connecting and charging the Apple Pencil, and a spot to hold and secure the Apple Pencil on the cover and base platform of the case.
