I would have preferred they made the case and cover just a bit wider so that the cover can be used while the Apple Pencil is attached for charging. Perhaps make one edge of the lid with a lip to cover the pencil while the lid is covering the screen, and one edge of the lid without a lip so that the pencil is accessible while the lid is removed or attached to the back. The existing door that snaps shut when the pencil is removed just seems like a cheesy, tacked-on afterthought. The front bezel area near where the pencil sits while charging does seem concerningly flimsy. I also don’t have much trust in the Apple Pencil holder clips inside the lid. I’ve had them break off on two other defender cases (iPad Air 3 and Mini 5).
Additionally, the notches for the ambient light / TrueTone sensors do not line up properly on the Gen. 5 (M1) iPad Pro. I can’t speak for other models this case claims to fit. The actual sensors on the iPad are about .5 cm inboard of the notches in the case bezel. This can be verified with a fairly powerful flashlight. On my particular installation, this causes the bezel to cover 1/2-2/3 of the sensor opening. Apparently, this is enough for the sensors to work properly, but I’d be concerned tolerance stacking may cause the sensors to be too covered up on other particular installations. I must assume Apple relocated the sensors on the 5th gen, and OtterBox didn’t bother to retool the molds accordingly to move or enlarge the notches for the sensors.
Overall, I’m fairly disappointed in the execution of the product, especially given the very premium pricing.

Decent case - the pencil part has broken twice now. Once in the first week. I wouldn’t get another case that didn’t have a built in place for the pencil. Not worth over $100. Only purchased bc there was limited cases available for that size iPad at the time. I have since upgraded.

Otter box is hands down my favorite apple product protector. Especially since I have small children and I know my electronics will inevitably be dropped. 100% worth the investment!

The product worked great at first , however I have only had it a few months and one corner already broke off. This makes the holder useless as it won’t hold the ipad without the missing corner.

Pretty bulky and can get a little annoying since the stand tray cover thing is a whole separate piece. It's very heavy too but definitely feels secure and protective.
Wouldn't recommend if you're bringing your ipad everywhere with you since it's so heavy and bulky. I keep it at home so it doesn't bother me much.
I do wish there was a more secure slot to keep the pen tho. It has a little flap to charge your apple pen but it's not a secure place to keep your pen there at all times.

I bought this for my iPad to keep it protected. This thing is amazing for protection. Offers a angled stand for drawing, and also allows for the apple pencil to be magnetically attached to the iPad itself. I only have two negative things to say about it. The flap that opens to allow the apple pencil to attach, broke off the first week I had it. But that's not a big deal. Also the cover is pretty hard to get off when I want to use the iPad. But I guess that's not too bad since it keeps my iPad protected from drops and dings.

I love it! It fit prefect now I’m not scared to take this iPad anywhere but I did have to get the screen protector for it only downside, but other than that it’s great for me and we’re to hold the pen it has enough room for it, wish It had a storage for it but it’s ok, just need the iPad protected, pen can stay at home or bag only use when I really needed it, overall it’s bulky but I’m a guy I like to know it’s in my hand and feel it’s in my bag and I didn’t forget it somewhere you know what I mean. Just wish it came with the screen protector but I see why because of the pen and such it wouldn’t work to well. And I just don’t like the sticky part that you have use for the rubber case to stay on. And got this on sale so very good price.
