Just make sure you use the screen protector but if you can’t get it right away, you’re OK. Make sure that you use your free clip option for phone with the code whenever you open the box.

The defender for my 16 pro let mer down in 2 ways. 1... The exposed part of the right edge left the screen protector vunerable and I had to have 2 of them replaced because of that reason inside of 2 months. Geek squad folks tell me there is a lot of problems with that exposed edge and screen protectors. 2... MagSafe charging quit working through the case within 3 weeks. Took me a while t figure out what was going on, but it worked fine when the case was off. Perhaps the construction material is either 2 thick, or made of some material that is not compatible with MagSafe. Best Buy made things right with me, and after a lot of looking around on the shelves I settled on a Casetify case. A little more money, but it protects the screen edge all the way around. I feel that is important.

Didn’t think about the section on this case that is cut out for the camera button. It exposes the edge of the screen and have already cracked three screen prootectors right where the edge is exposed. Terrible design!
