Quality I've come to expect from Otterbox

The Symmetry fits the iPad very well and without adding a lot of bulk and weight. Corners are protected and with the flip cover (which is held closed with a hidden magnet) I don't see a need to purchase a screen protector. iPad also goes into sleep mode when cover is closed. Quality materials and craftsmanship parallel that of the iPad. Very pleased with product.

Good case overall

It is not nearly as bulky as the Defender series and it looks much more professional which I like. My biggest issue with this case is that I am left handed and therefore typically have the home button on the left side of my screen for fingerprint passwords and such. The case can be closed when the iPad is positioned this way but the magnetic closure does not function so when I slip it into my bag for transport it doesn't stay closed. I will likely be looking for a different case because of this flaw.

It does add weight to the tablet but that is expected for a protective case like this. Ability to rotate from landscape to portrait when used as a stand is a real plus.

True to Otterbox form, this case makes you feel secure in that if you dropped your device it will be safe and you won't be springing for a new one...or at least paying someone to fix the glass. It also stands up in several positions and is able to rotate on a 360 degree swivel. Wouldn't have another case.

What was the point of having an iPad "AIR" if your case makes it feel like a thick law textbook? I'm sure my iPad would be really protected, but it really is so difficult to carry. Returning it tomorrow.

But the magnetic closing of this doesn't work in less than a week. Have to look at the warranty. Don't feel like taking a 1 hr drive to return it, but the alternative is a big rubber band.
