Installing on the Phone Creates Scratches on Case

Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.No scratches on this case at purchase, however on the first install on my iPhone 17 Pro, the case showed bad scratches going around the MagSafe ring. At first, I thought it might just be smudging that could be wiped off. I gently removed the case, wiped inside and out with a soft microfiber cloth, but the scratches remained. When I put the case back on the phone, to my horror there were now double the amount of scratches on the case, in different places. Now I dread removing it because I know this will create more scratches. I’m returning this otter box and keeping my ESR clear case I purchased for $8. No scratches on my ESR from installing.
