I purchased this cooler after Hurricane Irma. I thought it would be great to have a quality product helping to keep my perishables protected during power outage and of course camping and going to the beach. There really wasnt many coolers available at this time. Best Buy had it and I took a chance. The Venture 25 is constructed very well and has great latch system, and is injection mold technology, but lacks performance cooling wise. It kept my ice for 4 days. That is 1 day more than my old $29 Igloo would keep ice. The release valve leaks water and also leaks cold air as well. The handles looked great at first but in real life use they just get in the way when loading in your vehicle. I would have preferred hinged or tuck away handles. The matte finish is too easily scratched. At the end of the day, its a solidly built cooler, should last a long time. I probably will keep or pass it on to a family member or friend and upgrade myself something else. My advice, get a Yeti or Engel. Otterbox still needs to iron out a lot of R&D with this new product.

Was able to find this on a Deal-Of-The-Day promotion at 50% off and have to say that I am very pleased with the build quality. It is well insulated, has a solid latching system and the functionality in accessorizing it looks sound. Looking forward to putting it to good use this summer while camping and taking trips to the beach. As a test run I filled it with some drinks that were already refrigerated and ice after getting it home. Two days later and there has not been much ice loss at all. I think it does bear mentioning though that the free OtterBox Separator Panel gift that is included, is not compatible with the 25qt cooler at all. It simply does not fit or allow the cooler to close with it in place, per it's own description it is made for the 45qt and 65qt model's. Which is kind of hilarious, as Best Buy doesn't even sell those sizes. So I would advise opting out of the free gift unless you like having pointless waste around, that's the only reason I've given it four stars instead of five, seems nonsensical to include a gift that isn't compatible. Every 25qt cooler does include the bottle opener accessory though, you'll notice it on the left side of the cooler in the photos I've included.

Exceptional cooler not only price and construction is unbelievable how this product is manufactured. Performance is great ,put just one pound block of dry ice and a little ice and your good to go. Keeps everything fresh for 10 days in the bush and for your trip back home

I wish I can give this item a 5 star , however received this item in poor condition, not package correctly. In addition shipment was delay a few times. On the other hand cooler looks sturdy, bulky. This cooler did not fit in my 2020 Kia Forte trunk. Other than that I think this cooler will work great, keeping your drinks/ food chilled.

Very impressed by this cooler. Its heavy and very we'll built. I was a little dirty from the box but a good wipe down cleaned it all up! Reminds me of the storm troopers and goes great with my wife white Jeep!!

It is a great product but the way Best Buy sent it was horrible not in a box so it was damaged when shipped it’s still usable but very Damaged Great company and great ice chest

I am disappointed in the condition I received my cooler. I just unboxed it and noticed a lot of dirt and scratches along the bottom like it had been slid around on a floor. Not the quality I was expecting when ordering such an expensive item. It seems like it was previously used or not stored properly.

I Never had an issue before but I was disappointed with my purchase. I was expecting a brand new item and instead I got a returned item with signs of use and with candy inside .

Otter box has made great phone covers for years that serious construction zone people always used to protect their expensive phones. Seems like a good transition for otter box to move into. The cooler is my all time favorite. Keeps my stuff on ice because the ice does not melt. I had a Yeti, but the thing weighed a ton and would need to be preloaded with ice to cool the cooler so that your 2nd load of ice did not melt. The Otter Box seems to cool down faster and not need pre cooling like the yeti. But I just stick a frozen gallon jug in each time I use it and that block of ice almost always cools what I need cooled. So the Otter Box is lighter, has great accessories and keeps my stuff cool. My fave!

I bought this Otterbox cooler on a deal of the day for half off ($115) and it was steal at that price. The cooler is made in the USA and the desert camo with the OD green interior looks awesome. The quality is outstanding and you won’t be disappointed if you are looking for a Yeti type cooler. I put ice in it on Sunday and it still has some left on Thursday (temp in the upper 80s, low 90s). One caveat is it is heavy empty and when loaded with drinks, etc. it is a two person job to haul it around as it has no wheels. It makes me think of the old beer commercial of the roller cooler guy who has no friends to help him carry the cooler...

Based off my experience and all side by side comparisons I have seen this cooler competes with any of the top coolers on the market. Latching system is very simple to operate and I love the included bottle opener. A bit heavy and short on inside capacity compared to outer dimensions like all coolers in this category. I purchased this cooler at a deep discount on Deal of the Day and am very happy with deal.

Excellent ice retention I have a Y*** as well and the otterbox is much better. It’s a little heavy, but no more than other rotomolded cooler. Seems very solid, and I like the available accessories.

Beast of a cooler! It holds Ice for a long long time. The drain plug will connect to a hose if you need to drain the water out further away or fill it up with water. The attachments you can get are very cool too. IF YOU CAN GET THE NEXT SIZE UP, This size was just big enough but there are more accessories for the big ones. But you can carry this one pretty easy even full.

For 25 quart ice chests, these things are HUGE! No way would I wanna lug a 45-60 quart version around on a trip to Costco, or, a campsite. So, I bought two... only justifiable by a “Deal of the Day”. Having two of these adds a lot of convenience, and functionality, to either adventure! Separating veggies from cold drinks can save the poor little lettuce from a real “head”ache! And sometimes, you just don’t need all that extra storage. Using just one chest, I can gently rest the lettuce on top of a nice, cozy bed of cans. They are super overbuilt. I expect a life longer than my own out of em, short of keeping them too close to a bonfire. One caveat... the available partition, which I purchased separately, does not fit in the 25 quart without modification (same width, too tall). These partitions are reserved for its big brothers. This info isn’t super clear on product pages. All the other accessories fit perfectly. Not necessarily a caveat, but BEWARE: your second one may be delivered naked... actually, just cloaked in nothin but one layer of shrink-wrap. And if you know UPS like I do... enuf said. Overall, a solid performer. Without doing double blind testing lol.... I imagine the cool factor is comparable to all the other hi-end chests out there. Bonus: for anyone with 2008ish Airstream Bambi travel trailer, one fits purrrrfectly accessible in the under bed floor area. next to the heater, ironically. Primarily, this was my original cooler shopping criteria.

Vary insulated rather large for being 25 qt cooler due to heavy insulation thick walls I have camry with pretty decent trunk struggle little bit putting it in the cooler itself made like a tank very rugged but it is bulky and heavy probally keep ice from melting 3 times longer than normal igloo or coleman type friend work told me they took one to beach the next day still full of ice hadnt melted

This is yet another “high end” r.e. Expensive, keep your ice cold for months cooler. It is solidly built and keeps things cold for long periods in the hot sun. The key is to prime it first by putting ice in the day before you need it. Dump the cold water, stock it, and add ice. You can now leave it in the sun all day and still have cold ice. The cons (A) price. On sale it was $114 and probably a little over priced even then. (B) no handle. It takes both hands anytime you want to move it. A handle would be nice at this price point. (C) the latches. They are not simple like the Yeti or Artic. My wife cusses every time she has to open or close it. Bottom line, good value on deal of the day special. I would not buy at the $249 MSRP

paid half price. it’s worth that. keeps ice 3-4 days. handles don’t fold down, which would make it take up less space. the drain plug is a weak point, i think it makes ice melt faster. i’m going to cut a piece of sheet insulation to fit in that area, should do the trick. just took it on vacation, got four days without adding ice. one full day in a hot trunk, three days in our room. like all coolers , dont leave lid open. be quick about it. latches are great, very secure. mainly bought it for a boat, which is why i wish handles folded down. on the plus side handles make it easy to carry. i’ve also used a small luggage carrier to transport it. i recommend if you can get it on sale
