The Definitive Way to Play Overcooked!

The Positives: + Contains all of the content from both Overcooked! and Overcooked! 2, including all of the DLCs + Runs solidly while looking very nice + Provides both local and online multiplayer + Catchy soundtrack + Wide variety of chefs to play as + Provides a wide variety of accessibility options + By and large controls very well... The Drawbacks: - ...though I do find it hard to grab what I need from the counters on occasion, as it can be a bit fussy - It did crash on me once - Those who have bought Overcooked! and/or Overcooked! 2 before may feel a bit put out by this release - May cause arguments with others in the heat of kitchen battle, even if you're playing single player.... Overview: If you've ever been interested in playing the Overcooked! games, this is THE way to do it. You get all of the content from both the first two Overcooked! games, while getting a spiffy graphical upgrade and smoother performance! I found the soundtrack catchy, and the accessibility options deserve a special mention, as well. Those who have bought any Overcooked! games before may very well feel a bit hard done, though, as they don't get the graphic/performance updates nor the new free DLC this game got. Also, going for the top ratings on the levels can be pretty tense, so someone may end up unleashing their inner Gordon Ramsay in the heat of battle! All in all, this is the king of the co-operative multiplayer genre and highly recommended!

Hard pass if you own Overcooked 1 & 2

If you own the previous 2 games and the DLCs, it’s really not worth buying this game for just the extra content (Ever Peckish Rising), which is only 7 stages. I don’t really care for updated graphics, because let’s be real, the game is too chaotic for anyone to notice ooooh the tomatoes look prettier that before. It doesn’t really add to the gameplay experience. The loading times are still horrendous compared to Steam/Xbox. There are some levels that are very glitchy. (Ex: In Ever Peckish Rising 2-2, after falling off the stage, the cooking progress bar would sometimes disappear and you can’t pick up stuff. This continued to happen even after restarting the level...and restarting the Switch). AYCE might be worth getting if you don’t already own the previous 2 games. If you have a Steam account, buy and play it there instead. Or have your phone or a book handy for the long load times.

Great game for the whole family to enjoy. Takes a little hand - eye coordination but with practice it gets better and fun. There are several modes to set the game in so you can practice preparing the different dishes without too much pressure to beat the clock. I think it teaches kids that teamwork is the best way to accomplish your goals. By working together its the only way to get the food orders prepared on time. This version has the other previous versions of the game included.

I’m a big fan of the Overcooked series, having played through Overcooked and Overcooked! 2 a couple of times now. This copy of Overcooked entails Overcooked, Overcooked! 2, seven new stages, better graphics, and the ability to play cross platform, however, there are several glitches and bugs that need to be fixed. (Sometimes gameplay is smoother cross platform than connecting to another Switch session, which makes no sense.) The most redeeming factor of the game is being able to play Overcooked with online friends (previously this was only possible locally or on parsec for steam).

Great fun and excitement with friends! Having both Overcooked 1 (remastered!) and Overcooked 2 in one cartridge is really convenient. Online play works pretty well, although lag can make it difficult to coordinate. We usually use do a video call on our phones so we can easily communicate in realtime. Be sure to find friends with good patience though.

Overcooked is just too much fun. You can play it alone or with friends in a variety of combinations. It's just a good wholesome fun game to play. The controls are simple and intuitive but the game play doesn't get stale and gradually becomes more challenging. Some of these levels are pretty difficult and require some serious teamwork!

Love it. Lots of fun and a great way to get mad at all your friends/family and use some Gordon Ramsey insults on them for not following the game plan. Kids love it but drives me bat crap crazy that they keep catching the kitchen on fire

We've had a lot of great family fun. The game is either fairly hard for our family with two little kids, but finally completing a chaotic level is rewarding.
