Best online game.Lots of fun, always changing. Great with friends.

Never had any interest in this game in the lead-up to its release. Also didn't have any interest in it for the first few weeks it was out. A friend of mine recommended it, and took care to mention that it's unlike any shooter I'm used to playing. Well, I got it. And I love it. I have been playing with the same character since the tutorial. I've not tried any other character, and I am still loving the game. I cannot wait to try other characters.. presumably when playing with this one gets stale. Wonderful game. I waited for a sale, but I couldn't find one.. so I just ended up getting it from here with the GCU discount. Glad I got it. Still wish I got it on sale, like I try to do most of my other games. Gameplay is smooth, controls are simple (for now, until I try other characters, haha). Colors pop, and the whole thing is BEAUTIFUL!

Most fun you'll have online. Great multiplayer and fun diverse characters.

I like Overwatch, it is frantic and action packed, but only fun for me in short bursts. It has twenty one unique characters divided into four classes defense, offense, tank and support(healer). No character seems overpowered but takes practice to master and you will find yourself gravitating to playing that character. However playing with one character all the time is not how this game is to be played. After every re-spawn you can change your character to best support the team. There are four modes of play control point, escort, a hybrid of both, and assault. At present there is no pure all out death-match. The twelve maps are balanced and feel fresh every-time I play. The situations change very quickly on every map. On hybrid maps you have to protect the payload so you start out defending get overrun then you will have to escort the payload before the timer runs out so you are now on offence. I recommend playing with friends because this game requires communication. If you do not have friends that play then this game can be frustrating. All in all I think it is fun and has a tremendous amount of potential. I have played other Blizzard games and it is a company that believes in giving players a quality gaming experience. Watch a video before you purchase!

If you want a long campaign and epically woven story, this isn't for you. If you want something to break the war shooter mindlessness with some real strategy, teamwork, and fun, this game has creative characters to break up you monotony

This is a great game that gives you hours of entertainment. The game as a whole relies on teamwork and finding counters to the other teams to make sure your team reigns supreme. Pharah is amazing!

This is without a doubt the most fun multiplayer experience I've played on the PS4. Not since the days of Halo on Xbox has a game had such a good multiplayer. There are over 22 different heroes to play, and every character is completely different. The game is very balanced as well, every hero has their own strengths and weaknesses in various situations. There are multiple different game modes to play, with different rules and team compositions. The game is also family friendly for an FPS. No blood/gore to worry about. The only negative is that it is online multiplayer only, no single player or campaign modes (except offline training). Playstation Plus is required to play online. So if you are paying full price for this game, keep that in mind.

This game doesn't have a campaign or story mode, concentrating entirely on multiplayer maps where opposing teams have to capture and defend a zone. What makes it fun and addictive is its dependence on teamwork and how each character has a completely different and unique set of combat and defense skills to fulfill their function in the team combat. Every character is design to show a distinct personality to complement their skillsets and you can switch to a different character during a match if the one you first chose didn't work well against the opposing team. There's also a tongue-in-cheek layer of slapstick humour to the characters and combat to off-set the more bloodthirsty tone of other shooter games like Call of Duty. A breath of fresh air in the genre.

Overwatch is great. You participate on 6v6 multiplayer battles completing objectives to help your team win. It's not a fast paced game because after you die and respawn, you will have to walk pretty far to your objective. Staying alive is important. If you get stuck with a group of people that are not team players, you will definitely lose. This game is not for the casual gamer (there is no single player story mode; it's all multiplayer). You need to be good at FPS games and you need to spend time to learn maps and how to use your chosen character effectively. You need to work as a team. Overwatch has a lot of great players. If you are not great at FPS games, you will be punished and unless you like losing, this game will not be fun. I believe I'm pretty good but there are many times I will get dominated because I'm playing with random people that aren't so great. This is when the fun is gone and makes me want to stop playing the game. However, I rated this 4 stars because when you have a decent team, Overwatch is enjoyable. To sum it up, this game may not be for everyone.

Overwatch has many characters to play, each with unique powers. The gameplay is fast pace. There are a good number of game modes and stages. One thing it lacks is a campaign or story mode.

I like this game a lot. I love playing FPS games but the this game is so much fun. This game is nothing like others, here you have to play as a team to win a game. You can't do it by yourself it has to be a team effort. Everyone seems to be on the same page so its very competitive. I like the characters and each of their unconventional weapons. I like the fact that each character has a nemesis and no one character is better than the other. I really enjoy the cartoon feel of the game. Have patience because each character requires time to really learn everything. Have fun.

From the start I was concerned this game was a shallow multiplayer shooter with not enough game modes, no single player, no depth and I'd be tired of it in a week. I played the beta and it opened my eyes. I love this game. Vibrant design, easy access to all heroes, easy to control, rewarding for support/healing characters, stats are meaningful and positive, game is polished to a shine. I play some characters and if i get bored of that style, i try another style. You play for team win, not individual glory. Everything about this game screams polish and I love it.

My husband plays this game constantly with friends from work. It encourages team building, has fun story lines for most of the characters, and a range of characters to choose from. The game works best when you have folks to play with.

The gameplay is always different given the many available character choices. The matches can be as long or as short as you want to make them. Kudos to a game that you don’t have to dedicate your life to in order to enjoy

Fun game, needs a price drop with goty edition out

Overwatch is the consensus 2016 game of the year for a reason. It's beautiful, plays fluidly, has excellent mechanics, and can be played in short spurts or marathon sessions. Each character plays entirely different from the rest, yet work fluidly with a synergistic complimentary skill set that adds a lot of strategy and teamwork elements. The game is very easy to pick up but is so subtly nuanced that I'm still learning new facets after 100+ hours on it. Love it. So. Very. Much.

This game goes in the opposite direction of COD & Battlefield in the sense teamwork matters period. There is no K/D (kill,death ratio) or Rank structure appearing while playing or after which helps in just enjoying the game without the ego implosion waiting to come out through chats. It's refreshing fun & I enjoyed my time with the colorful characters there is a learning curve in characters abilities as in what works for you but it's fun learning while enjoying a well polished shooting game

Great multiplayer only game wth a unique cavalcade of characters. Could use a single player or story mode to flesh out these characters more but there are official comics and videos about them.

This game is absolutely fantastic! There's a great variety of characters that you can be; you can choose to be a defensive, offensive, supportive, or builder type. Each character can be customized; most customizations are bought with credits earned in the game. The maps are well thought out and really interactive. There are also plenty of spots to pick up health throughout the maps. I definitely recommend this game to anyone that wants to get hooked into hours of fun gameplay!

I purchased this game so my son could play online with a friend of his who really recommended it. He has enjoyed playing it with that friend, although he did say that, compared to other games, when he spent lots of time playing this one, he found it somewhat boring after a while. He did like the feature that gives new "loop boxes" to add new things from time to time. And he still goes back to play this one from time to time, so all in all, probably a pretty decent purchase!
