total garbage
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.apparently this works far better in conjunction with an iphone. i have an android and when this wouldnt connect to my app i had to go through a lot. customer service is slow and stupid. it took days to get ahold of a supervisor at which point i was told it was a software issue they were aware of and had no fix for. the tried to get me to keep it even though it didnt work 100%. this is a terrible product that i feel is too complicated to trust with your babys life.

Disappointing.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We got less than a year out of this camera. Save yourself the money and buy an indoor ring camera. We had issues with this camera from day one and decided to ride it out and buy a regular $30 baby monitor for when the camera decided to go offline. Then it just died all together.

I wish I never bought this!!!!
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Camera has been nothing but problems from day one. Camera is dependent on a cell phone. Currently the camera does not operate with new iPhone and owlet has done nothing about this issue. Please refund my money!!!!

Rubbish
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Camera doesn’t rotate. Poor video quality. Had to reboot and reconnect the blue tooth and the app to sync several times. Biggest drawback is it doesn’t move or pivot. Returned.

Nightmare of a product.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is pretty much the worst baby monitor you can buy. Why? - Video and audio of your baby is streamed via the internet, with no details whatsoever on how that is kept secure (if it is.) Think about the implications of that. - The app does not provide camera notifications as it is not available on this device. - The video stream, since it is over the internet, has a 5-10 second delay including with audio. - The background audio feature eats through batteries on iOS and Android phones or tablets. - The temperature sensor does not read correctly and is usually off by about 5 degrees F. - Unlike much cheaper cameras, you cannot move the camera via the app. Once it's mounted it's mounted. - The camera frequently disconnects from WiFi which sets off a bright blinking light straight at your baby. - The app frequently locks up and needs restarted. - The video feed frequently freezes on a frame giving you the impression that your baby is not moving when they are. This will persist until you reset the app. - We've been through 2 which have randomly stopped being able to connect to WiFi. - The app is not done but offers a subscription service for a sleep guide that does not integrate into the camera. - If the monitor disconnects, you must enter the nursery and unplug it. Cue the strange number of flashing lights. - The intercom feature on this camera is terrifying. It sends through shards of what you said to the app and it distorts. Both cameras did this on multiple devices. Are there good things about this camera? Well, kind of. The picture quality is OK but it only has a digital zoom, unlike most other cameras. It's not worth purchasing. The Owlet sock is a good product if you know how to use it, but the camera is absolutely abysmal.

Trash! Use your money on something else.
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is, by far, the worst electronic product I have ever bought! I love it when it works but it's highly unreliable, constantly not connected.

No Alerts to your App
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Unlike other baby monitors the app does not send you alerts . Unless you have audio on background you must constantly check the app to see if you baby is making sounds or crying.

High Quality Picture!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great quality live feed. Picture is high quality and the night vision is excellent, so good in fact that I had to check to see if I’d left lights on in the nursery! Runs through Wi-Fi which enables you to check when you’re out of the house. I did have some difficulty in getting it to pair with the app on my iPhone. It is convenient that the camera an owlet sock are all on one app so that you can keep track of both. I do wish that you could adjust the camera remotely. As it is, you have to adjust it manually when setting it up. I also wish that it had live sound instead of getting notifications that noise is detected. All in all, a great camera with high quality video and I'd recommend it.

Very disappointing
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was very excited to pair this with my owlet sock but I was highly disappointed. I don’t know if it’s the camera or the app but the video is super laggy and doesn’t connect half the time. Especially at this high price point It’s extremely troubling when your product doesn’t do what it was made to do. God forbid I had to see a clear current image of my baby in an emergency and to not be able to see a clear picture. I have the latest update and very fast and close Wi-Fi so that’s not the issue. It’s just a UI problem. If your looking to purchase this based on seeing it everywhere and the packaging looking very nice I would think twice and go with a different brand

The quality doesn't worth the price!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We bought the camera + sock 2 bundles on October 2nd, 2019, right before our baby girl arrived. The camera stopped working after 16 months of use. I cannot say that we didn't have any issues with the device before but always could handle and solve it with troubleshooting pieces of advice from the manufacturer. This time things went wrong the other way, night vision stopped working at all; this is the most important feature for each baby monitor especially when the baby sleeps in a separate room. When you buy a camera for 150$ you would expect a good quality product and that it will serve not 1.5 years but longer for sure. When this time night vision stopped working it was something new because it didn't happen before, we started to troubleshoot as suggested on the official website: unpair/pair, log in/out, delete app/ install again, etc. It helped each time for about 12 hours and then the camera stopped working again. So I decided to call customer support to describe the issue and find out about the solutions for the first time ever. It took two minutes to get on the line with the representer. SO what I found out and what solution was recommended. Be aware that the warranty is only ONE YEAR in case the camera stopped working after one year there is nothing they can do. Just as it is! Representeter said that if this would happen within the warranty period they would replace it but in our case, they just suggested to BUY A NEW ONE! So be ready to toss into the garbage 150$ every 1.5 years or just AVOID BUYING IT! We're expecting baby #2 in about 4 weeks and I was going to use this monitor with baby #2 but instead, I have to look for another baby monitor as I'm not ready to buy such an expensive camera every 1.5 years. My recommendation, please do your research, there are a lot of alternatives on the market with more attractive functions for a more reasonable price.

Would be great if it worked!!?
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve been on the phone for over 3 hours on 3 different calls with owlet and spent several more hours online and again on the phone talking with router and internet providers to try to get this camera to link! Owlet said I just got a bad camera so I exchanged it and same problem! If you have an old or who knows maybe even newer NETGEAR router that has a dedicated 2.4ghz band then it should work?! Our Owlet sock has worked just fine with both router systems -but we had an Apple router that would not work so after trying for hours I just went and bought a new whole home Google Wifi setup and apparently that won’t work either!? Super frustrating!! -all new tech it seems won’t work with this brand new camera system? Owlet keeps telling me that I need to fix my network and call my isp(internet service provider) or the router manufacturer and get it figured out on my end!? -How about you guys make a new product that actually works with new technology! And maybe don’t force your customers to spend hours trying to figure out how to make this work! I’m not a tech guru but I run a lot of tech in my house (Sonos, Hue lighting, Nest etc.) all have been at least somewhat user friendly to setup. Owlet camera looks simple on paper but thus far has been IMPOSSIBLE and I cannot figure out how to make it work!? I still hope that I can somehow get it to work, because I think the camera will be worth its cost when it finally does work...but that’s the clencher when and if it works!!! I’ve never spent so much time and been so frustrated with a tech product AND a company’s customer service in my life!? -nice people on the phones - but no idea how to actually solve the issue other than telling me to figure it out on my end!? Take responsibility Owlet and fix YOUR product to work with current technologies!

Nice product!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We bought it to keep an eye on our newborn while he sleeps. Works great. I would have given it 5 stars but it sometimes has video lag issues which made me give it 4 stars. But overall a great product.
