The picture and temperature sensor is great. The sound on the monitor is terrible. It is always cutting in and out even with great WIFI connection. Also, it would be nice if you can change the range for the temperature sensor and would love if it would allow a notification of movement or crying.

I bought this to replace my two year old camera from a different brand. This was a little pricier than i wanted but i am so in love with it. This product is worth every penny. Consider it the Apple version of quality with baby monitors. I also highly recommend getting the Owlet sock to monitor baby vitals.

The owlet cam is a staple! I love it, I’m able to do what I need to do, while baby is asleep in her crib. I gives me peace of mind knowing I can see her at all times.

Super easy to set up first of all. Best running on 2.4ghz WiFi. BUT after a week or so it started to freeze the picture, when I would close out of the app it would still be frozen when reopening it THEN I would go to uninstall and then REINSTALL the app and STILL had the same issue. After finally unplugging it, it would work for a couple of days then same issue. The last time I unplugged it, it would not pair to the app anymore. I tried several times to reset the camera and nothing would happen. Was going to exchange it but then saw that others were experiencing the same issues. I don’t believe WiFi connection is the problem here because the smart sock works well and everything else in my home connects JUST FINE. Don’t waste your time on this one.

I placed it 20' from my router with just one wall in between. The camera reports "fair" signal for a while then stops working entirely. In contacted support and they told me I had to get and extender. Their position was basically "it works when you place it right next to the router, so it's your problem. Contact your ISP for support". I have $20 Wyze wifi camera that work fine on my network along with the dozens of other devices that work all over the house and in the downstairs unit. The Owlet Cam is the outlier. Poor design and condescending support. Buy literally any other Wifi camera. Oh, and it does not work at all on 5Ghz wifi in the year 2021. Clearly they are selling third rate crap on their new alone. I'd return it had I not received it as a gift.

Don't waste your money. I've been battling this stupid thing for months and it refuses to work properly. At least once a day I have to re pair it with my phone, it regularly ( I'm talking no less than 5 times a day) freezes. I just spent an hour trying to get the piece of junk to connect to my phone while my baby slept and it just wouldn't. My internet is fine and every other electronic in the house is working perfectly. But not this 150$ waste of money. Fortunately I had a 5$ monitor laying around I picked up from a garage sale and that works perfectly. For 150$ this should work 100% of the time and your lucky if it works 50%. It's also frozen while I've been sleeping and who knows how long my baby cried before I woke up. Tomorrow mine is going to a landfill. I'm not wasting another hour on a garbage baby monitor when I could be sleeping. Buy literally any other baby monitor.

My advice before buying this product...Take the $300+ you were going to spend on it, set $250 of that money on fire, then spend the remaining $50+ on a baby cam. IT WILL STILL BE BETTER THAN THIS PRODUCT/COMPANY! We received the Owlet Cam/Owlet Sock bundle as a gift. We didn’t start using it (or even open it) because we though $300+ for a baby monitor just seemed absurd. However, at 6 months, baby started rolling himself into the side of the crib and would get stuck. Right away the Owlet Cam started giving us alerts when no one was home and we were worried. We tried for days to get help from the “support” line and halfway through the conversation the line would simply disconnect.. EVERY TIME! Once we finally were able to have complete conversations, every question we asked “had to be addressed by a supervisor” and we would receive a call. THAT NEVER HAPPENED. Even after we called the next night, and the next, IT NEVER HAPPENED.

So first of all, the app for this baby monitor does NOT stay up. It crashes ALL the time! On both my phone and my husband’s phone. We tried all trouble shooting and even upgraded our phones, to no avail. Very nerve racking to wake up in the middle of the night and you baby monitor isn’t working anymore. The camera has good range of angle, but doesn’t zoom, and doesn’t pan. We miss our monitor which has a more zoomed in camera and pan-ability, and we really miss the independent and more reliable screen. This product is an absolute waste of money due to its unreliability. Don’t waste your money. You’ll be stressed out with its failure to operate.

Owlet does not keep their app current with iOS and Android releases. If you want to keep up with your smartphone's security updates, you will experience constant frustrations with the camera being unreliable. Currently their customer support has told me the below. My camera is a $150 paperweight. Buy a competitive product from a real technology company Oct 28, 2021, 1:16 PM MDT I am so sorry about this experience - it's certainly not the experience we want our Owlet parents to have. Our product team is working to resolve this issue and is testing an app update that should resolve that. I expect that to be available in the next few weeks, and you'll be able to download it from the App or Google Play stores."

I don’t like that if you aren’t physically checking the app every 2 minutes then you won’t know if there is movement or noise happening in your child’s room. So you can’t use your phone because the app has to stay open to continuously be aware of what’s going on in your child’s room. Also the quality is really bad and it lags a lot. Also I tried to talk into the monitor and it starts lagging. It’s very inconvenient to not be notified that things are going on in your child’s room while you are on the phone or checking an email on your phone.

Don't buy this product! Get the sock only and buy a camera/monitor from somewhere else. The camera has connection issues daily and loses sound too. The camera issues have caused more stress than bringing peace of mind. We have now begun the search for an alternative camera and will be dumping the Owlet product.

I bought this because of the reviews but after purchasing it and using it for several months it is horrible, it does not stay connected to WIFI even though it is 5 feet from WIFI router. None existent customer service. Please do not buy I think the good reviews are buy Owlet themselves

Sock is great. This camera never works. And when it does the sound doesnt come through and we miss our baby crying. This is going to end horribly for this company and more importantly some poor family.
