Worked well for awhile

Excellent burr grinder

Not fancy, but has ALL the options necessary. Anything more would be a waste. It's well made, takes up minimal space and is relatively quiet (for a grinder).

Sudden, complete, and inexplicable breakdown.

For two months, this product was better than expected. It was easy to use and worked perfectly. I used it on Sunday, and it worked perfectly then. Two days later, on Tuesday morning, the machine simply stopped working. The grinder was on, but the powder did not come through into the cup, and the engine would start to strain and shake the whole grinder. I cleared everything out and tried again. Twice. And the same result. The coffee grinder is shot. I'm dumbfounded how it could go from being perfect to not working at all, but it did. I would never buy an electronic product from OXO. Let them stick to apple peelers.

Worth the extra money

The motor sounded weak and bogged down compared to the OXO. I feel confident this one will meet our needs and not die out in the middle of a grind.
