    I guess its needed for installation but seems very unnecessary. Could of done the same thing by just splicing wires

    Bought this to enable the use of my steering wheel controls in my 2009 F350 and my new Kenwood unit. This thing didn't want to work right straight out of the packaging. Had to make three trips to Geek Squad to finally get it working the way it should. Not impressed with this product.
