I bought Paddington 1 & 2 together. Simple Blu-ray cases, and the prices were very good for them.

Great, hilarious & entertaining movie for the whole family.

The story might be a paint-by-numbers "Fish-out-of-water" tale. But beyond that, Paddington does everything right. And yes, it's really a Wes Anderson flick disguised as a children s book adaptation. It's all there: Technical precision (symmetry shots), offbeat (visual) humor and musical choices, (Even the film's score is Anderson-y), random anecdotes, a dollhouse shot, headgear fetish, family centered plot, and a general retro-vibe, make this one of the more interesting children's movies in years.

Having spent what were essentially the first five years of my life in England and my mothers side of the family holding strong roots in Great Britain there was always an affinity for British culture in our household. In those early years when my father was stationed in Mildenhall Paddington became a known personality-whether it be by his books or the large doll we had to play with. Seeing this sweet and innocent facade brought to life on the big screen with exuberance and such sweet joy not only transported me back to my own childhood, but gave me something to connect over with my own young daughter. The film itself contains a plot where you might see exactly where it's going, but it is the inherent charm that oozes from the performers, the humor and the sense of family between our core characters that comes through more than anything else.

I had promised my little one to take her to the theater to see it but didn't so I knew when it come out on sale it was time to purchase it. I was going to purchase it at Target but saw that Best Buy offered it with a watch. She loves her Paddington watch and as for the movie what can I say. Very good family movie. From Children to Adults will enjoy this family. Which in a way teaches us the value of family and togetherness, Paddington himself looked very real on our screen and we have a 4K TV. Never did we feel that he was animated. Recommend all the way.

Being a Paddington Bear collector for many years, I went to see the movie when it was released. Over 80% of the people in the theater were adults. Paddington Bear looked and acted so real in the movie, it was very easy to imagine he was real. I just had to get the video when it was released. This is definitely a keeper that you just can't possibly get tired of. A real classic to be enjoyed over & over again. The other characters in Paddington Bear are true to the books & this is another reason why this movie is so enjoyable.

This is a good entry film. It's really fun. The sequel is the masterpiece film of the two. If you're interested you should have them both.

I haven't read any of the Paddington books, but have seen the toy bears for sale for years. I love the story of an explorer discovering intelligent bears in Peru, teaching them to speak English, and a young bear travels to England when an earthquake destroys his home. An unwitting family takes him in and the adventures really begin, including an evil fem fatale (Nicole Kidman) & a curmudeonly neighbor (Peter Capaldi, the current Dr. Who), but the loving family teams together to outwit them.

i didn't have an opportunity to see this recent film in the theater so I purchased the DVD. I'm glad I did. The story of Paddington the bear has been told to generations of children. The DVD (movie) is very enjoyable and entertaining for both children and adults. Nicole Kidman takes on a different film role than she usually does, and that is a plus for this movie. highly recommend this DVD.

The classic tale of the cute teddy bears journey to the foggy London in a visually spectacular film with a stellar cast. Not just for kids but for every ages is a fun and great popcorn cinema.

Paddington is the cutest little guy and this movie will really bring him to life for you! It was so much fun watching him get into all sorts of trouble, then flash that innocent face at someone as if to say, "What, did I do something wrong?" The human actors were enjoyable too, both the good guys and the villains alike. Blu-ray presentation was exceptional and my copy came with a nice storybook as an added bonus. Highly recommended!

My husband watched this movie on TV late one evening and really liked it. We tried to find the movie, but could not find it anywhere. We looked online and found it here at best buy. I really liked the movie and was happy to add it to our large dvd collection. It is a good movie to watch when you are tired of violence, or horror movies that are offered on TV now.

Bought this on a whim for my kids and the whole family loved it! Nicole Kidman plays a crazed taxidermist who is trying to kidnap Paddington. She's pretty hilarious, but I don't think the somewhat scary kidnapping scenes would work for kids younger than five or six. My youngest is five and he had a lot of questions about why someone who works in a museum would want to kill an animal to stuff it...

Purchased Paddington to share with my Granddaughters. Hard to say who enjoyed it more - them or me! Tender telling of the history of how Paddington acquired his hat, came to England and acquired a family and his famous coat! Most enjoyable with the interactions with "live" characters. Looking forward to the sequel!

This movie warms the heart and chills the boredom....it is a MUST as a tribute to patience, tolerance, kindness and perseverance all rolled into one. This remarkable little bear (whose English is remarkable!) manages to create more chaos in an uncaring London than a passing comet would, yet comes out on top thanks to the love of a very down-to-earth family. MUST SEE!

This item contains just simple one DVD disk as product description. Movie is cute. Good for entertaining kids and adult. If you like paddington 2 you will like this episode too. If you are looking for something to spend good time with your family this might be nice movie to watch together.

This is not just a kids movie. It's a great family film. It shows you the origin of the name "Paddington" and why he wears the clothes that he does. The father of the family, at first, is not too pleased to have a bear living in the house. He soon learns to love Paddington, just lke the rest of the family. Nicole Kidman is great as the 'villian' of the movie.
