I live in the lightening capital of America so this was a must. It's a bit bulky but it can be hidden in the display unit. Plenty of outlets for ipad, laptops, etc as well

I HAVE 5 OF THESE! These Panamax Power Conditioners are great and come with a great warranty. That is how you know they trust in their product. I filter our my coax lines from outside and use it for the power outlet protection. MAKE SURE YOU READ THE INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW TO FILTER PROPERLY. I assumed Equip meant to go to my equipment Line meant to come from the service line. It is the opposite.

I really appreciate the placement of the plugin locations as it makes it easy to plug in larger plugs without any issue. Spec wise this seems like a good unit for the price. I’ve been aware of Panamax for some time but this is my first purchase. This thing has some heft to it and that’s always a plus to me with any electronic device. Happy so far so maybe I’ll try some other products by Panamax.

PanaMax is the best in electronic protection I have a couple of their units and they have never allowed any damage during the Florida thunder and lightning storms. They may seem pricey but if you compare it to what you are plugging it into your elecktronicks are much more. These are only a fraction of the price of everything that you are protecting. The Panamax not only improves the picture quality but also allows multiple devices to be plugged into one convenient source. The peace of mind that if a power surge were to happen my equipment would be protected. I think the upscale in picture quality alone is worth the price.

I have owned 2 older Panamax M8-HT surge protectors for several years. Just bought this M8-AV for another room. This seems to be a newer model but it looks the same. In recent years I have gone through many nasty storms followed by power surges and nothing has happened to my expensive Hi Fi and Computer equipment. My neighbors who are not protected have had their equipment fry. Storms seem to be getting worst year after year. A word of caution. Panamax has an excellent damage warranty. In order to have them honor the warranty you need to purchase this from an authorized retailer such as Best Buy. You also need to save your receipt. I would also recommend you take a photo of your equipment hooked up to this. This way if a warranty claim should arise they cannot jerk you around. This unit is expensive but it will save you a lot of headaches if the weather gets crazy and starts damaging your equipment.

I have had the best experience with Panamax! My last one did it's job throughout all the power outages in the Hudson Valley and protected my entertainment system. There were a lot that I like about this surge protector that had features that other previous ones I had didn't have. The sales person explained the difference which help me with my decision to get this one.

I know the importance of having good surge protection with electronic components, but was at first a little skeptical on the power conditioner piece and what it could do. After asking several of my friends who work as sound engineers and DJs, who all convinced me that clean power made all the difference in their work, I took their advice and got this. Well, I think it really does seem to make a difference! Aside from the fact that I wish it had a few more outlets, music and video now seem "noise free" and if it's solely as the result of this unit, hey I'll take it! I haven't had a chance to test any of its' extreme surge protective qualities and hope I never have to. So, while this is an expensive addition to an already expensive system, I think it's worth it for the peace of mind if you have high end AV equipment like I have.
