Nice Microwave, but 1200 Watts is too much power

This microwave has too much power, and I wish we had bought a 1100 Watt microwave again. On everything we cook, we have to figure out how to lower the power (or else cremate a TV dinner at the regular setting). One good thing is that this microwave cooks evenly. I will never buy a 1200 Watt Microwave again--it's just too much power & too easy to overcook.

Ideal size and safe

It's a little louder than my previous Panasonic microwave but it heats very well. I would still buy it again because it is easy to set up plus I like the safety feature for young kids to prevent them from opening the microwave to a hot container.

It is a good size, but leaves about 7" of counter space in front. The oven operates easily and efficiently with a rotating turntable and the inner surface is easy to clean. I appreciate the sensor cook and defrost features.

Have used it for over a year and a half with no problem. As with all new microwaves, have to use a sequence to open after using. In this case press 0 then the door will unlock and can be opened. A safety feature (required) not explained very well in the instructions.

Starting March 2024, federal regulations require all microwave ovens to include an automatic electronic door lock safety function. his feature is designed to prevent burns, accidental use, and unintended access, particularly by children or those unfamiliar with the appliance. And then the instructions for disengaging it are somewhat obscure. I really had to take my time with the instructions to figure it out. But the microwave does work as it's supposed to. And I am happy with the machine.
