It had a mechanical timer dial, push up or down lever for power level, start, stop and door open buttons, and was an early carousel with 720 watts of power. This Panasonic with 1100 watts, is my first microwave's replacement. I spent some time reading up on features, size of unit, and of course price, before choosing what I bought. I'm still learning how to work all the features, but I figured out the basic stuff quickly! It's nice to be able to use the on-the-box instructions.

Panasonic: reliable & modern looking & easy to use

We haven’t even used the presets yet, but will figure it out. The push section for opening the door is easy to clean. 1100 watts gets the job done quick. The inside heating area is large, but the unit is large too. Got a great price on the open box. Slightly louder than my LG, but it’s in the kitchen.
