Dead on Arrival

Owned for 3 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased this Blu-Ray Player, brought it home, hooked up the HDMI cable, placed a Blu-Ray disc in, pressed play, nothing on the screen. I reset the player by unplugging it, changed the HDMI to another input, placed a different Blu-Ray disk in the player, nothing. Verified the HDMI port with another device, re-installed the player attempted to run the player with the remote, nothing. Further examination I discovered the disk was not spinning up. I verified the player had power by the power indicator and attempted another power reset with no change. I returned the player to the store, and purchased another LG. I chose this player due to the fact my last LG stopped working in just over a year.

It's a little bit irritating that it does not come with a 4kuhd hdmi cable as they are super cheap these days. But not big deal as they are cheap and I had one laying around the house

Not worth it

I have to hit buttons several times before it does what I want it to (like opening the disc tray). It also has trouble playing discs. I had to try 3 times with one dvd before it would stop giving me a compatibility error and just play the movie. And that's happened with several discs. It's going back.

Disappointed in 4k picture

I wanted to see 4k in action. It must be me. But I see no difference between 4k & blue-ray. I wish 4k looked better.
