Generally comfortable with it, purchased mainly for 4K Ultra and ATMOS compatibility and got it on sale BUT the tiny, simple remote SUCKS! All of my other Panasonic devices have good remotes, this one does NOT! Knowing what I know now it was a good purchase ON SALE but I would NOT purchase it at full price. The unit does look cheap but it works OK but I use my other 2 players (newer LG & Sony) more often, they work better & have streaming. I think there are better choices out there now. All are hooked up to my Panasonic Plasma TV, probably the best display ever!

I could have given it five stars if it just review it for what it is, a solid no frills 4k player. If you want it to do more than play discs, this one is not for you. Delivers great looking picture with HDR and sound. The remote is a bit small so buttons are close together making it easy to press the wrong one.

So far so good! I purchased this solely to watch the new 4K Lord of the Rings trilogy, and it was worth it. My only complaint is that when you pause the movie, once you hit play again it takes a good 20-30 seconds to start back up and the picture skips a bit before becoming clear again. Setup was easy, however it does not come with an HDMI cable, so you have to buy that separately.

Just what I wanted. I have owned Panasonic products before and it will play anything you throw at them. This 4K player does not disappoint. In fact the 4K picture quality exceeded my expectations and the audio was as good. Nothing basic about this player. Except the remote that could have been better.

This is a perfect no frills 4k player. It supports: HDR10+ (Honestly it looks likes HDR10+ is going to win the war between DV, which is marginally better in color accuracy but costs too much for manufacturers to implement due to licensing) 3D Hi-res audio/Dolby Atmos If you are looking at the DP-UB150 you might be wondering what you are missing by not going up to the DP-UB450, you are just missing Dolby Vision support and dual output hdmi. Neither have streaming apps, which most people already have in another dedicated device or built in their tv. Back to the UB150 and its few "cons" you might consider the lack of streaming options a con, which I dont miss since I already have dedicate options that do streaming better. No Dolby Vision, which at this price point most players do not include it, and almost all 4k UHD releases come with both HDR10+ and DV. Sluggish interface on boot, I noticed this while drilling into my USB connected external hdd which held my MKV. it handles 4k remuxes perfectly, with hiccups with subtitles here and there but audio and visuals never stutter. overall a GREAT entry level, for under 200 which can often be had on a sale for under 99.99

I purchased the Panasonic 4K DVD player to go along with my LG 70 inch NanoCell 4K TV. Set up was easy and the picture quality is superb. The only complaint is that the remote control is on the small side and makes it a little difficult to use.

What a performer! I did a quick comparison and this player upscale standard dvds better than my two Sony players. It also handles 3D better, with stronger planes & separations compared to the Sonys. (Thanks to Panasonic or BB for indicating 3D in the headline. Most dont which means some players dont show up when doing an online search for 3D players. Boy, if Panasonic ever puts out a panel tv set in the U.S. with both 4K & 3D, they'll have a top seller!) The 1080p and 4K are pretty equal to other players, including more costly ones. One problem in paradise: the close-captioning does not work with BDs, no matter the setting. Youll' have to hit the TOP MENU button and turn on captioning from the disc. How much of an issue that is depends on how reliant one is on that feature. ( We ALL need it for Guy Ritchie movies!) I read some comments here that say the build seems cheap. Huh? This has a steel housing, not plastic like many other units So if you're looking for good HD and 4K, plus superior upscaling and better-than-average 3D and you're already overloaded with Internet apps, look no further. This is easily the best in class for its price. Well done, Panasonic.

OK, but the remote is so small. I don't like how long it takes to do something after you push a button. The price was good so maybe that is why the performance is the way it is. Wish it was a little wider to match all of my other receiver items also. All good so far.

Solid little 4k player. Got it because it has hdr 10 plus for my neo qled and I’m very impressed. Pq is excellent and it’s easy to use. It has one purpose in life to play uhd Blu-rays on my Samsung tv and it does it very well.

Sound and picture are great in my setup, I have it using HDMI to the TV and optical to the surround receiver. This is because the receiver is a pre-4K vintage one, so no pass through, but this set up works to keep expenses down and there don't seem to be any issues with quality. Only issue I have is in the player's setup menu, or what the settings do. I couldn't get it to work reliably outputting 4k unless I set it to only do 4k, with the auto detect setting, 4k discs were getting sent out at 1080p, and auto-detect is the default. Since I set it to force 4k, it's been OK. Almost brought it back because of this, but since it does have a way to work correctly, decided to keep it.

Nice simple 4K player in a small package. Doesn’t have Wi-fi, streaming or Bluetooth or a hundred hookups on the back. Simple easy ONE hdmi and ONE power cord setup. USB hookup in front. It still packs a lot of menu features. Very happy with picture quality and remote. Some said it was too small. I think it just right.

Works great, very clear picture. The only thing that I see (or can't see well) is the fact on the remote the buttons are VERY tiny and close together. There's no using it in the dark while watching a movie. I also did kinda wish it had wifi built in but I got around that with a cheap wifi extender.

I was looking for a quality 4K disc player that is simple to operate and does not connect to the internet unless I plug it into the router. I did not want another device with a bunch of apps either. This unit fit the bill. I've only used it a few times in connection with my new Vizio 4K smart TV. It has worked as it should. However, I recently added a Sony A/V player for surround sound. I played a Blu Ray disc when wired through the A/V system and I am experiencing white outs and white streaks across the screen during play. All the equipment claims to be 4K capable. I'm not sure at this point if it is just an HMI cable or a bad input jack on the A/V player or possibly a compatibility issue between the A/V receiver and the DVD player. May need to have a professional figure that out,
