I bought this to replace my trusty Arc4. The Arc5 doesn't shave as close but the battery was better so I stuck with it. Not one year later one of the tiny clips broke that holds the guard frame in place (this is the plastic frame that holds down the foil) and the razor no longer functions. I never dropped or mistreated this, I take care of my expensive items. I assumed with my warranty they would replace this $15 dollar part, but after going through a maze of phone menus and finally speaking to a person, she said they can't send this $15 part to me and that at my expense I would have to pack and ship the entire razor and cleaning station back to them! This was mind blowing to me that they won't send me that small plastic part - it is easily available - and that I have to send the entire thing back at my expense and there's no guarantee the warranty claim will be honored (she said I might have to pay for the repair or replacement of the entire unit). I decided to purchase the guard clip myself and will never purchase a Panasonic product again.

Very nice shave. Replaced a 20-year old Braun model. Love how easy it handles and how close it shaves.

I tried the newest triple rotary head razor because it was rated in a men’s magazine as the closest shaving electric razor for men, but I was disappointed and returned it to try this one. This shaver cuts as close as the razor blade when I use shaving cream and water, but it doesn’t glide along the skin easily enough without it. I’m not crazy about bulkier razor or charger design, but I will sacrifice the design for the closer shave. I was using a Braun before I went looking for a razor that could give me a closer shave though I haven’t tried their newest model. I’m debating on trying one to see if I can get a close shave using it without water and shaving cream for days when I am in a rush.

I was hesitant at first, but pulled the trigger and I love it. Easy to use and even easier to clean since that is it what appealed to me. I didn’t want to have to clean one more thing. Especially, the one with three heads in which you have to pull apart and clean each head individually; who’s got time for that?! So I opted for this one since it self-cleans and it does so very nicely! Use and hit the clean button and it does it on it’s own!

This shaver is awesome and cleans and charges whenever I need it. It gives a close shave and it's very easy to use!

This is my second panasonic shaver. panasonic shavers are long lasting and reliable. Not a huge difference in the quality of the shave between my model from 10 years ago and this model, but they are both great and I do like the auto cleaning base/charger that comes with my most recent purchase. It works surprisingly well. I changed the blades on my original shaver twice in 10 years, but the battery started giving me trouble it. Great product and no need to bother trying other brands for me.

This shaver is good but not great. I purchased this model as a replacement for a three head rotary type. I love the cleaning /charging holder and that part is ideal. Battery life between charges is excellent when traveling and many times I don’t even bring the AC charging cord (same cord hooks to the cleaning holder or directly to the shaver). Only reason for a 4 star over 5 is the screen shaving head does not do as good as my previous 3 head rotary shaver. I find myself touching up with a regular razor after each shave.

I've had two previous Braun series 7 shavers and they were really good. I decided to try something new and I bought the Panasonic Arc 5 razor and absolutely love it. The Braun razor is a great razor but the Arc5 is really better then I thought it would be. The Shave is really close and the cleaning system makes the razor seem like it's brand new when it's done cleaning. I have not found any negative things about the razor that I don't like.

Bought this as a gift and recipient was very happy. Been using for about six months and still get thank you every time. Long charge on the battery. Close shave.

I have been exploring many brands and models as my previous wet/dry rechargeable shaver shaved its final shave recently. I had an older Panasonic, and as I'm not a brand purist, considered moving to Braun as I've heard great things about the Series 9 shaver. Having a chance to use both before purchasing, I ended up buying the Arc5. It offers a quick, quiet, close shave, and is comfortable even on sensitive skin. It looks slick, works well, and has all of the features you need to get years of reliable use out of an improved model from Panasonic.

I am very satisfied with the Panasonic shaver. It is very easy to use and gives a super smooth and clean shave everytime.

This razor is very quiet compared to others my husband has used. Very close shave. My hubby says it’s the best electric razor he has used.

Does take several days to get used to but does very well after that. Best result was for me was wet with a little shave cream but in a rush, dry shave came just fine. Pop out trimmer was not very user friendly but gets the job done - I already had a dedicated Phillips trimmer which has been my go to option for beard shaping and performs much better.

I've owned Braun and Norelco and Panasonic's Arc5 has been the best. Faster, closer, and ease of cleaning...this hits all the spots!

When I got the Panasonic shaver I like the look and felt the shaver was very easy to use. I really felt the shave was close and smooth. Ihave used the Panasonic shaver in the past and this one is the best so far.

Great electric razor that is light years ahead of competition. The prices of premium electric razors are ridiculous and this is no exception either but you are getting the quality of one that costs $250+ here. The razor itself is lightweight and seems to be made of decent materials. The charging dock is much smaller than my Brain series 5 one and the chrome look makes it look nice on the bathroom countertop. The digital meter indicating charge % is a cool feature too but the different razor speeds and charging dock modes are not easy to figure out at first
