Had a earlier model Panasonic shaver that I wanted to replace because I could. This 5 blade model provides a closer shave than my previous 2 shavers. No issues with my sensitive skin. I like the newer cleaning station and the cleaning solution packets are a nice upgrade. I did upgrade the foil to the Japanese foil that has the 2 gold guides based on an article I read.

Clean and close shave for my head and face. Holds long charge and easy ro clean. Fair price for what you get.

I had been using the Braun Series 9 until it broke so picked up the Panasonic Arc5 shaver as a replacement. I am glad I did. It definitely out performs the Braun and is lighter and gets all my neck beard more easily than the Braun ever did. Got the model with the self cleaner and very pleased with it as it drys the shaver after cleaning so you don't have that wet residue the first you shave afterward.

This is not a bad electric razor. Works just fine. I switched from using a braun series 8 to this one and i like the fact that this one has a cleaning station that i pour a packet of liquid in then water to the fill level. the razor cuts well. Not giving me any problems.

Works like a champ! I use this on my head and get a clean, close shave every time.

Cuts well, i like the charge and clean station which Phillips doesn’t do anymore (they’re separate) only one button on the clean station and it’s weird it will literally clean forever unless you take it off not a huge deal. Also it has a dryer to dry it off after which also goes forever. I feel like the head flexes a little too much. I shave my head with it and a lot of the time I’ll hold it by the head instead of the handle as it just flexes too much.

I have been using the Panasonic Arc 3 for several years with overall good results. I wanted a higher end model, so I choose the Arc 5 Wet/Dry model with the cleaning, drying and charging unit. Setup was a snap. This shaver has four cutting heads instead of just two. I had not shaved since I ordered this unit, and the first shave was just fantastic! My face was as soon as a baby's behind. I highly recommend this shaver. If you are looking for a new electric razor, I guarantee you will be pleased!

This is the second Panasonic shaver. The first on lasted for 7 years before the battery died.

My older Arc5 became my travel razor and allowed me to upgrade. Since I have several years with the older version, I can confidently say the new razor is quieter, smoother and faster.

I upgraded from the Panasonic ARC3 to the ARC5. The ARC3 was not bad but ARC5 undoubtedly provides the closest and most comforting shave of all electric razors I've ever used in my 70 yrs of existence :) .It feels great and well balanced in my hands and the charging /cleaning has this unique drying feature compared to my Phillips shaver. The Pop-out blade does a not too acceptable job in lining up my beard, but I've always used a disposable razor for clean look on my beard. The big personal positive is my no longer using a disposable blade for shaving my head and face , reducing the occasional cuts and abrasions . This is a great unit. I'm however giving this ACR5 a 4xstar rating for now and see what happens in future .

So my Braun cleaner base stopped working again. SECOND one traded at a retailer that use to take things back if you had any issue. They stopped doing that. So went online and utube. Found panasonic is rated the best mens electric shaver. Best Buy had it and was cheaper than other places. Very happy I spent the money to get it. . Shave time cut in half and a much better shave. Skin feels very soft after the shave. No spots of any uncut hairs. The old braun 10 I had left some, If I didn't take the extra time for multiple passes. I had a Phillips it was so cheap the heads would not stay in place. That's why I went to the Braun It's very quite. Much less motor noise than any other razor I have used. The cleaner base runs quit also. Cleaner base is better than the Braun. Plus no plastic cleaner cartridge to throw away. Just clean and refill. I wish I would found out about panasonic mens razors many years back.

First use, and I AM IMPRESSED! Better shave than my trusty Norelco, which won't turn on now; better, smoother shave than the Braun meant to replace the Norelco. I just could put up with the face nicks the Braun caused, which led to more bleeding than a manual shaver! If the Panasonic remains this good over time, then I am 100% committed to it.

Easy to use and gives a close shave every time with no hassle

Decided to try this after using the braun for many years. I can't believe it took me this long! What a difference. Shave is much closer than my old braun. Battery life is good. Never going back to braun given how happy I am with this Panasonic.

I have had a philips/norelco for over 10 years that needed replacing. I noticed in the CR magazine ratings that all of the top electric razors had this style foil instead of the 3 circular piece heads. This was also the least expensive of the top rated razors. Once it went on sale, it was even a better deal, so I picked one up. I must say it is a great improvement over my 10+ year old philips/norelco, more than I expected. This shaver leaves my face very smooth & my wife has also noticed it works on her legs a lot better than her current ladies razor.

Shaver works great. I use it for my head and is by far the best shaver I've used. I've used multiple braun shaver and was a di hard braun fan. Decided to give the arc 5 a try and no regrets. I love it!
