A much better shave than ANY Noxxxxo electric shaver, even better than my long-time favorite Brxxn! Should be a first choice to consider!

This is my second ARC5. This generation has given me the closest shave I've had from an electric shaver. I've had Norelco, Braun, and Panasonic Arc3 and an older generation Arc5. This version of the Arc5 provides a smooth and quiet shave.

I've only used razor for shaving in the past. A day into my beard growing my family would complain about my beard stabbing them. 3 days of growth and my face would be irritated and flaky because of it. This electric razor changed all that. I get no irritation or the flaking it caused afterward. Life changing. I have very thick beard hair. It handles 1 day of growth well, 2 days it misses more. It's not a big deal though because I just go after the stray hairs with a trimmer. This shaver is not perfect, but it does an overall great job. I also use it on my head which has thinner hairs, and it handles that with no issues.

I've had this for almost a year, and I like it. I decided to buy the one without the integrated cleaning base to save a couple bucks. Honestly, cleaning it after shaving takes about 15 seconds, so I'm kind of glad I didn't spend the extra money on the cleaning base. I was previously using a regular Gillette razor with shaving cream, and decided to give an electric one a try. It's convenient being able to wake up and just shave my face without getting it wet. No, it does not get as close as the Gillette. But it's good enough for me.

I used a different brand before and was afraid to change. But then I decided to try this company, and I was not disappointed. Shaves very well. The charge lasts for a long time. In a word, I am very pleased with the purchase.

Best electric razor I've ever owned, hands down, not even close to other electric razors I've owned. I have a tough thick beard and it takes it down to smooth quickly and razor close/smooth. It's amazing how comfortable the shave is. No pulling, burn, discomfort during or after shave. Only used the razor dry. Yes, a few hairs on my face remain I have to work a bit on if I have many days of growth but I've had the same issue on every electric razor I've owned, no big deal, just run the razor over my face on several different angles to get those.

Purchased it today and so impressed that I had to write a review. This thing is by far the best shaver I have owned. I have always been a rotary owner and am coming from the Norelco 9000 prestige. The arc give a closer and more comfortable shave. Yes, the neck is tricky but it always is no matter what you use. With the arc just pass over those tough swirls on your neck a couple of time and you’re good. I have a very coarse beard and I am 100% happy with the results.

I've been using this shaver for a week now and I will say it is an excellent shaver. I had been using a circular shaver and I believe I get a closer shave with this straight shaver. I like the way it moves with the contours of your face while shaving. The battery was quick to charge and so far is staying at 100% charged for much longer than I anticipated. It is easy to take apart and clean and it fits very well in my hand as I am shaving. All in all I am very pleased that I made this purchase.

I am surprised to be honest. I have used electric razors in the past but they just didn’t cut close enough so I switched to razor for maybe 3 decades. I read reviews and decided to try it. I shaved dry and with cremo cream. Both worked very well. I would say as close as a blade - Gillette Fusion 5 blade that is. Although shaving with shave cream works, it’s messy so I probably won’t do it much if at all. It rinses out super easy though. This unit is so easy to rinse/wash. Amazing device!

My old (other brand) three-head shaver was WAY past its expiration date, so after seeing the Panasonic arc5 on sale and checking out quite a few comparisons (on line) I decided to go for it. Besides, I was tired of being tethered to an outlet with a cord. Wow! I can hardly feel anything as it provides a close shave. There's no post-shave irritation either - smooth from the first use. And I love the feature that tells you when it's time for a recharge (versus having to guess). Still no movie star look, though. Hey, it's only a shaver; not a magic wand.

I have the Norelco, a Braun and this Panasonic. The panasonic shaves the fastest and closest. Some complain about pulling, but none of them are perfect. This one is as smooth shaving as either of the others. Looks plasticy, but it is pretty solid. Easy to clean. The norelco sheds hairs when sheding. Haven't had this with the Norelco. The Braun is good, but sometimes leaves hairs. None are perfect, but this is the best deal by far. It's as good as the top of the line Braun and 1/2 the price.

I did find some growing pains coming from a rotary-style Philips Norelco, but after getting through a few nicks, this shaver is handily the best I ever had. The Arc5 has saved a significant amount of time and shaves much closer than the Norelco ever did, and many other third-party reviewers find the Arc5 among the best shavers on the market.

I have both the braun S9 series and norelco series 9000, the Arc5 shaves so much closer and is extremely smooth on the skin, for me it is light years better than the S9and Norelco 9000, the Braun S9 has a tendency to pinch the skin and cut it in certain areas. The Arc5 is an absolutely amazing shaver, I am super impressed and now use it daily. It glides over you face and gives you a hand razor closeness.

Excellent and smooth shave. Easy to use, especially with some shaving gel. Definitely be sure to get your hair very short before shaving, because it struggles with longer hairs--especially those that lay flat on your face. The only part I struggled with was my neck, where the hairs lay flat against my skin, but it was easy enough to touch up with a blade. Battery holds enough charge for several shaves.

At 74 years old, this Panasonic - Arc5 is by far one of the best razors I have ever had. For years as was sold on Wahl razors, but this Panasonic outperforms them all...for closeness, a total clean shave and with little to know effort. It's easy on the skin and leaves me with no skin or razor burn. Extremely well worth the $200 plus, I paid.

I upgraded from a Panasonic Arc3. The Arc5 has two more blades and it does give me a better shave with less effort. I've been using Panasonic Wet/Dry razors for many years. Obviously, I like them. My biggest complaint is that most of the razors I've had only last 3-4 years before something breaks. But if they didn't break then I would have to replace the blades--which isn't that much less than just buying a new one.

My fear of electric shavers has come to an end. I have really sensitive skin and after a few weeks of owning this shaver, I can say that i will never go back to manual blades again. My skin feels smooth and my razor bumps are going away. Great product!

This provides a very close shave. I follow the directions daily by washing the razor with soap, rinse, air dry and then add panasonic mineral oil. So far the ability to maintain a close shave has been maintained. The razor's rechargeable battery lasts about 2 weeks as advertised.
