I had been shaving using a 5 blade razor, but I found my neck constantly getting irritated. I did that for about a year, but for many users used a well-known brand rotary razor and found I had to go over the same area too often. The Panasonic razor does an excellent job. I have used it on a totally dry face with no problem. The foil gets a bit warm, but never hot. I know use some shave cream over a wet face just to get a bit of lubrication, and the results are excellent. This razor is also very easy to clean. Can't believe I waited so long to try a foil razor.

I luv this thing. Smooth head every time. My wife luvs it as well. She doesn’t use it she likes the way my head feels.

so far, so good. it has 4 separate cutting blades and has done a nice job. My only regret is that I have spare blades & foils from my other Panasonic, but they are for the 2 blade system...I should have looked more closely.

Just upgraded to the arc 5 from a Norelco rotary. Night and day difference. Shaves closer and is quieter and smoother on the skin. No regrets.

I'm very happy with the close shave I get. I like the separate settings for beards. I much prefer the foil heads over my previous rotary head shaver for cleaning. The razor head is easily removable. An indicator lights up when it's time to clean the heads with liquid soap and warm water; though I haven't owned the shaver long enough to experience that. Another nice convenience is a power level indicator for the rechargeable battery in increments of 10%.

Great Shaver-- nice & quiet - a close shave - no complaints here!

Purchased this in August 2019 and was very satisfied. I had the Arc 4 and thought this was a nice upgrade. The shave was close and clean. I have a fast growing beard and easily have a 5 o clock shadow each day, so needless to say I shave daily. I also rinse the blades and screen after each use. Weekly I would perform a deeper clean with liquid soap as recommended. After about 2 months I noticed it was starting to miss some hairs on my neck and on the side of my face, which was not a huge deal. By November (about 3.5 months after purchase), I could not get a close shave at all. It was missing large spots no matter how many times I went over my face. I could not imagine that I would need a new screen and blades. I looked up the replacements and they were $55. I can't justify that cost every three months. I did try to contact Panasonic for assistance via e-mail twice, but they never responded. After doing some online research I did find that this is a common complaint with the ARC 5 and that Panasonic traditionally has poor customer service, so I guess that is why I never got a response. I picked up an ARC 4 at Best Buy during the Black Friday sales, that model has always performed very well for me so I went back to that model. Do some research before jumping on the ARC 5 to avoid disappointment.

This product comes highly rated, and hy husbanc has used this line of shaver for over 10 years. The service at the store was outstanding. When it was found to be out of stock, it was shipped directly to my house, no charge, in 3 days!

This is by far the best shaver I ever had. it provides a very close shave. It also holds its charge for a good amount of time

I love it. Very easy to use and holds a charge for a long time so I am not constantly charging.

I have used all brands of electric razors over the years. I keep going back to Panasonic which delivers a very good product. I am replacing a four year old ARC 3 razor which still works fine, but the battery is starting wear down.

Great shaver! Truly does get as close as a blade and is much more comfortable, fun to use, and easy on the face!

Awesome close shave for an electric razor. Runs quietly too.

I’ve used Norelco/Phillips and Braun razors and have not been happy with product performance, I used a Norelco razor for years,but recently I went to replace the blades and got a set that was way more expensive and of poor quality.I tried Braun but wasn’t happy with the shave either. So I tried Panasonic and have been happy so far. Easy to clean especially compared to the Phillips.

So far, excellent, quiet and quick close shave. Would recommend
