It was a bonus getting the unit as a Deal of the Day buy - it's worth the undiscounted full price. Great battery life with a detailed LED screen that tells you when to charge, how long it has been used and even when to clean it. Panasonic makes great razors.

SMOOTH SHAVER

For an electric shaver - it’s unrivaled

But it’s the most comfortable and the closest shave you can get with an electric. A bit pricey, but if electric is your thing I wouldn’t hesitate at all to buy this. Forget the extra cleaning / charging station. This thing is already too expensive without it and is even more absurd with it. It’s easy to clean, anyway. The little edge trimmer on the back of the shaver has some serious bite to it, so take it easy with that.

I have been satisfied. The present Arc5 produces an excellent close smooth shaving, better than any other shaver. In fact it is almost as close as G blades. The only problem is its large head. You cannot easily shave very close under your nose or your sideburns. Panasonic needs redesign that head.
