Went firm a Braun series 5 and that thing sucked! Constantly pulled hairs and the long hair trimmer never worked well overall switching over to the Panasonic is night and day! I feel like it cuts my facial hair so effortlessly and in much less time! Glad I can get a really good shave at a reasonable price! 100

Can’t get all the hair underneath neck and below jaw bone

The Panasonic - Arc5 Wet/Dry Electric Shaver - Matte Black is an excellent shaver able to nearly replace your straight-edge razor completely. The 5-blade system uses cross-cut action rather than rotary blades like many other systems. Panasonic boasts 70,000 cross-cut actions per minute! I found this shaver to be an awesome upgrade to various other "cross-cut" shavers. Cross-cut razors traditionally get hot and are not well designed for closeness without rash or heat burn to the face and neck. The Panasonic Arc5 seems to have overcome this dilemma by give a close shaver (close to a straight-edge) without contributing to razor burn and heat transfer. Wet and dry, this razor was a beard buster. The edging/trimmer was close and precise for hairline, around ears, goatee, and around lips. PROS - Panasonic design and quality - Effective both wet or dry - Close shave without heat or razor burn - Accessories and pouch were appropriate and compact for travel or for the drawer - Trimmer is precise and effective for tight hairlines and sensitive spots - Variable pivoting head makes any position or angle successful for shaving NEUTRAL - Recharging/cleaning base should be standard with this device, not an addon. CONS - None

This is my first time trying an electric shaver. I generally use a trimmer, so wasn't sure how this will work. But honestly, this has done a great job that I might switch to this long term. This shaver is pretty comfomfy when holding and it is not bulky or heavy either. I charged it to 100% battery before first use, as always with any battery operated device. There is a LCD display that indicates your battery percentage. The shaver comes with a case for easy storage and travel. Since this is waterproof, you can use it in the shower as well, plus cleaning under a tap is handy. There is a sensor that changes the power based on the beard density where you are shaving. On the back side of the unit (if you are facing the display), there is a pop-up trimmer that comes in handy for sideburns and mustaches. The outer foil and the inner blades are replaceable. This is more like an everyday shaver. If you have grown out your beard, you might want to use a trimmer first before using this shaver and continue to use it everyday to get the clean shave look. Overall, a really good shaver and I would recommend it to anyone looking for everyday use.

This shaver lose money. I have to go over the same spot at least 7 or 8 time no matter how long or short your facial hair is. Its the worst product from Panasonic

I bought it because all the good reviews it had but unfortunately I didn’t work for me. Tried it 3 times and it simply didn’t work. Did not shaved as expected. Very disappointed.

Razor seemed ok but started making grinding noise so returned after first week. Spending more doesn’t mean it works better or definitely longer. I was ready to be amazed but that wasn’t the case.

I like the razor but not as close of a shave as claimed. I have to go over a couple times to get a good shave. I would still buy it

This razor is supposed to be a high dollar, quality shaver. But no, it is terrible at getting neck hair, leaves patches behind, and give you razor burn. I'm going back to the Buan series

+ works very well regardless if you shave daily or weekly + station cleans and dries - maintenance (blades replacement and station refills) is not cheap, but not that bad comparing to mid-range shavers. plus you can switch to non-original refills, but I do not feel need to.

Worked great at first. I cleaned after each use but, unfortunately, the blade and foil needed replacement after about 2 months and they are $85!

I have been hunting for the right electric shavers for years. I used Phillips Norcelo and then threw it out, when I started getting rashes, switched to Braun 7 series which is ok, but after few months of use, I had to use a razor to redo the neck area the braun series 7 would leave the hair and also my skin was getting rashes. I then switched to the latest Norcelo - 9700 which was touch sensitive but still was not feeling good, when someone at BestBuy suggested Panasonic. I bought this shaver and it is simply superb. This is the best shaver ever and easy to use and clean too.

very hard on skin and got burns on few places, tried with dry and wet shaves and it doesnt do a close shave, going to return this.

Wouldn’t give a close shave. Very dissapointed it’s hard to shave when you’re older, was hopeing it would help with poor vision.

Not only is it noisy, my 10-year-old Norelco shaver does a much better job sorry I ever got this.

I have been using the shaver for about a week. Definitely works better than my old electric razor which after two years of using it, I was never happy and resorted to a manual razor, even after changing the heads 3 times in 2 years. I can already tell the razor is working better than the past and know that it takes a few weeks for the razor and my skin to get into sync with each other. I checked again tonight and still looking good. Can't wait to see how this is working in a month, but can tell that I am already happier with this than the other electric and definitely happier not too have to use a manual razor anymore,.

I’ve had it for 2 weeks. It leaves a lot of hair behind. Not worth the money you pay. I will try a diferent one

Didn’t work on beard. It shave my skin instead of beard.

Overpriced and cheaply made, razor edger tooth broke after one 12” drop...very disappointed.
