Alright I'm 65 and I have a bunch of old tired, broken shavers in a box somewhere from years gone by. I thought I was destined to buy the cheapest shaver since they all were hopelessly inadequate irregardless of the price and they all either lost battery charge completely or their foil heads got holes after a few months or whatever. Along came this shaver that I seen had great reviews but was a little pricey. I took a chance and got it on sale. This is truly amazing. It hums while it cuts effortlessly and quickly. OMG ...and I seldom at all take the time to do these reviews but I had to. Buy it and forget the rest. Got the best deal at my Best Buy store and I searched all over the internet.

Bought this for my son for Christmas. He said it works well on his face but not as well on his neck. He has curly hair, not straight. I do not know if this affects how effective it can be for different people

4-5 yrs ago I had a Panasonic 4 blade elec razor. I loved it but had issues with the battery and unfortunately it was outside of the warranty. It was time for a new one so I purchased a Braun last year. Top of the line, cleaning/charging station etc. Hate it! I have used it for about a year and have never liked it. I was never able to get as close of a shave as I did with the Panasonic. I bought this one as a Xmas gift to myself and immediately enjoyed a closer, quicker, better shave. Learned my lesson and will stick with Panasonic as it gives a far superior shave when compared to the more expensive Braun.

I shave every day so I can't give an evaluation on a multi day beard. I'm very pleased with this razor. I wet my face with water and add a little soap then shave. The razor glides across my face easily and leaves a very smooth face. My old razor was a Braun series 7. Granted the shaving head was old but I don't recall it ever shaving this close. I'm glad I made this purchase.

Just upgraded to the arc 5 from a Norelco rotary. Night and day difference. Shaves closer and is quieter and smoother on the skin. No regrets.

After decades of shaving with razor blades, medical issues forced me to switch to an electric. My research on this proved 100% accurate. The Arc5 delivers a very close shave with zero skin irritation . . . a problem years ago. I am now converted to electric shaver shaving and HIGHLY RECOMMEND the Arc5. For me, the price is worth every penny.

I bought this shaver to shave my head after trying the Skull Shaver that was cheap and did not give a close shave. This shaves as close as the Gillette Fusion 5 razor I was using which I was not expecting. I did not plan to use on face but it works so good I am using for both head and face. Also very quick, I use in the shower with shave cream and only takes 2-3 minutes to do head and face. Very happy with this purchase.

This cordless shaver surpasses my rotary cordless shaver that I gave up on due to very poor quality replacement blades several times. The Panasonic is giving me the best shave I have had in years. You will not be disappointed with this shaver.

Finally a clean shave. Used a Norelco 3-head for years, replaced blades and could never get under the neck. This razor is an A+, gets all of the contours on the face and neck and shaves down to the skin. Great deal at Xmas, $100 off, may not see that deal for a long time but love it.

This is the best Electric shaver I've used in years. The ergonomic handle and display are easy to use and read. It leaves you with a good smooth shaven face.

I had to replace my old panasonic shaver that I had dropped, but this one is just a bit better than the old one. Happy with it and it is comfortable to use.

Great features just not the durability I would look for in a razor in this price range. My Norelco has been more consistent and not 1 problem. Wish I would have sent it for service prior to the warranty running out. Instead purchase a different razor and this just sat.

Very easy to use and easy to detach and clean. A close shave.

This shaver is works well. I like the integrated beard trimmer, but it doesn't deliver a comfortable shave when used dry. I definitely recommend using this unit with some kind of shaving cream.

It is very light on my skin. It offers a very smooth shave. The amount of time taken for a shave is displayed once the unit is turned off. I do like that feature. The battery charge indicator is great. It will tell you the percentage of charge to the nearest 10%. So 70%, 60%, 50%... The only thing that is a deal breaker to me is the shape of the head makes shaving right under my nose really hard. Probably going to go with a Braun Series 7 instead.

It is very good quality and shaves the hair well but it has short battery life.

I purchased a few years and quickly found that it doesn't do well as a face shaver. It does however do a decent job on my head so there is some redemption. I don't find it useful as a travel shaver since the battery life isn't great, and the charging cord doesn't fit in the case with the shaver. So, I went back to using a cartridge razor and use this only to shave my head (when I remember to make sure the battery has enough juice left). I would have returned it to BB after reaching my initial point of frustration, but their return period was too restrictive.
