Less Than I Expected
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I wanted to record in 4K Ultra HD, with High Dynamic Range, and with 5.1 Channel Sound. This camcorder can do those three things, just not at the same time. I’m no expert, but I believe I’ve made every adjustment possible and still can’t get as nice of a picture as I can get with my iPhone. The only thing I’m missing out on is the 20x optical zoom. You can even record in HEVC on a smartphone. The files this camcorder saves are annoying huge.

Terrible and overpriced camera

They only trust their items for 2 weeks. The manufacturer Warranty is also a rip off. They charge you an examination fee. Don't buy from best buy or Panasonic.

For the money I expected alot more

For the price we paid I expected much better quality. First off, the camera feels like one of those cheap cameras you get off of Amazon. The video quality for the money is not the best and the audio quality for vlogging purposes is abysmal. We bought a $100 Rode external mic and that did not improve it. We returned the camera just a few weeks after and got a Sony ZV-1 with no regrets.

It gets real fuzzy when zooming in and it can barely control lighting. It does the job but we were hoping for better quality. Now we have a different camera and it does the job splendidly.

Frustration for top dollar

Trying to get serviced has been painfully unsuccessful so far. Best buy say talk to Panasonic, Panasonic says go yto best buy or take it to a local licensed Panasonic repair store, there are none in Washington!

In such situations, ensure you are using a compatible battery - the unit supports VW-VBT190 and VW-VBT380. When the internal temperature of the unit rises during use, a message will be displayed. When this happens, the unit will turn off automatically a few minutes later, and you will need to wait until the temperature has dropped before resuming use. Please note that if you try to use the Wi-Fi function while the internal temperature of this unit is high, a message will be displayed, and the function is disabled. This camcorder comes with a 1-year warranty, applicable from the date of purchase when bought from an authorized retailer. You can get a lot more bang for your buck buying a conventional camera with video capability. I actually returned it.

As I was using it, noticed battery only last like 30 minutes. Then it had technical problems. I’m so upset. Now Bestbuy is telling me that I’m out of luck. What a waste.

Camera Issues - Best Buy Got Me

It's true when the camera decides to work. The camera does not show video when we open zoom or FB live, we had to restart the PC and then it would show. We'll we decided to try a Sony and the Sony works every time. So we found the problem to be the Panasonic Camera. But guess what, BEST BUY's return policy is 15 days, we found the issue on day 25. We got screwed. My advices is never buy big money items from Best Buy due to the poor port return policy. If a company does not offer 30 day return. Forget them. we just lost nearly $700.
