Excellent camcorder, professional results

I bought this camcorder to take videos of my son in high school football games. The videos were crystal clear, even at night games under the lights, and zoomed in close on him from on top of the press box. I couldn't be happier. I paired it with a professional tripod and a decent shotgum mic. I did like the integrated controls on my old camcorder tripod, but it's no big deal. I am an experienced amateur photographer and this camcorder was perfect for me. Battery life was great with OEM battery. 3rd party, not so much.

As the other reviewer stated low light is terrible and yes I was one of the people that didn't believe the reviews and youtube videos but they are true. I liked the all around capabilities of the camera like having 1 lens, 4 hour battery, built in ND filters, touch screen and zoom up to 600mm. Unfortunately the low light was so bad compared to my Full Frame Sony A7III (released in 2018) and A7SII (released in 2015) I had to return it. Often people don't talk about the coming from a DSLR to Camcorder and it's worth talking about the buttons and configuration takes some getting used to as well. Overall it's like dating, this camera makes you fall in love with the "possibility" of what the person could be and not what they are. Great camera for outside, daytime and well lit areas. Rooms don't even have to be super dark to notice noise. Last but not least I didn't know that the sensor size in this model is the same size as sensors in everyday cellphones.

Camera has very nice features works well for well lit place. However in low light situations it was very grainy. I had t return for that reason. If your not going to using in low light place, i would recommend this camera.

Thanks for your feedback. The HC-X2000 is designed and tested to produce a useable image down to light levels as low as 1.5 lux. To optimize for low light, we’d recommend you use auto mode (AGC, Auto Iris), increase the noise reduction control (default is zero) and if possible, use a wider-end zoom position to avoid F drop. If you are primarily shooting in very low light situations, you may want to consider our professional-grade camcorders, like the AG-CX350.
